ALISON LET HER WOLF TAKE OVER, relishing in the feeling of her heat rushing through her body and fur sprouting from her pores as her bones shifted to accommodate her new form. Once she stood on her four paws, she shook out the thick hair, breaking into a jog. The ever-growing fever that soaked her insides she'd had was growing much less noticeable in this form, although she hoped that running as a wolf wouldn't make things worse for her once she returned to two legs.
Speeding up her pace, Alison threw up thick barriers within her mind, making sure that nobody would be able to mind-link her without considerable effort. However, with Grayson's strength, she knew he could push her barriers if he wanted to, especially since now they were linked. She let her wolf's instincts take over as she ran deeper into the forest, trying to escape the pain that had relentlessly been chasing her since she had left Grayson.
