ALISON'S EYES WIDENED, and she looked back as if expecting her parents to be standing right behind her. "Grayson, what the hell are you doing here?"
She couldn't help be feel a little uneasy at his presence; the fact that Grayson barged into her room without her consent was not something she wanted. All she asked of him was to leave her alone, that's all her mind wanted, but her heart told her something different. It longed for him, for his touch against her skin, but her mind somehow conflicted with that.
Grayson sat up and brought his feet to the ground, so he was sitting on the edge of the bed while she just stood there. It got a sense of deja vu. The very same thing happened back at Esther's house. He had disappeared for days without a word to tell her where he was. Alison wished she could do the same to him, to disappear on him as he had done to her.
