ALISON'S FEET THUMPED TOWARDS THE PALACE; Hailee followed behind her, trodding on the wet ground. As their soles touched the earth, their toes bathed in the newly endowed rain. It gurgles, bubbling as they ran. On any occasion, Alison would have enjoyed the soothing coolness, but in this case, she loathed it.
Lack of breath sacked her body, her lungs that feeling of tiredness and lethargy. As her lungs work to bring in the much-needed oxygen, Alison felt as if she was drowning in the air even then. The only way to feel better is to get fresh air, to sit outside, even though she was already out.
When they reached the doors to the palace, they didn't hesitate to walk right in. It was strange, though. There were no guards like always; every time Alison visited here, someone was guarding who went in and out. The thought was alarming, but due to the situation, she brushed it off. Her life depended on it.
