ALISON HAD MANAGED TO CONVINCE GRAYSON TO STAY, but that still didn't manage to clear things up with him. Grayson was on edge, constantly looking over his shoulder, and it was making her feel uneasy. The next several days were miserable.

She did know him, and yet, her mind was drawing blanks. When did she ask Grayson about him and what he had meant? He returned it with, 'It's better if you don't know.' It had ended the conversation altogether.
