WATCHING HIM LEAVE IN THE WAY HE HAD DONE, it broke her. Alison couldn't figure out why he had once again left her in the way that he did. Was it something wrong with her that he didn't want her near him? Was she that repulsing that he couldn't stand her being near her.
Grayson took the imaginary scissors from the draw, slashing her heart over and over again. He had never dug it deep before. He was cutting her out, fighting her off altogether. Why? Inside, she wanted to stop trying to make this work, to try and get closer to him, but if she stopped trying, their bond would surely die.
Closing her eyes, taking a deep inhale of oxygen. "I'm fine." Every part within her, something firey, asked to be released. Alison wanted to scream and cry. The hate inside her burned, but no matter how much hate she felt, she couldn't bring herself to hate every part of him for causing this pain inside her.
