The moment he had left, leaving her with a pang of rejection. For a wolf, it was the worse type of pain, to be rejected by your mate even moments after realising who they were to you. The look he had given her, a look of disgust. Hatred, like he hated her existence. It kept on replaying over and over again inside her head, every time she would close her eyes, there he was pulling his arm away from her and leaving like she was some kind of disease.
The universe was really punishing her, but for what? She hadn't done anything to deserve this, to be in the middle of everything.
