CONSCIOUSNESS COMES IN, wind blowing, it brushed against his skin, tickling him into awareness.
Opening his eyes, straight ahead of him, he saw the still blackness of his surroundings, but it wasn't the dark sky above, like the night before. The cavern walls bring to him the black that allows bold photographs hues to develop all the better. A sanctuary in the storm that was his mind, a calm place the beast had decided to run too and hide away from their troubles.
Where the hell was his? Last night after his conversation with Emily, rage blinded him and the beast had taken over. And whatever happened during the night, he couldn't remember.
