Killian's POV
The jet landed hours later and I made my way to the black SUV. I was greated by Kevin, one of my best warriors..His shaggy blonde hair has always been untamed...
"King alpha..." He bowed in respect and I nodded to his greeting..I quickly got in the SUV feeling very agitated because of my human...I haven't seen her in days...I frowned, as if sensing my discomfort, Kevin drove off to my pack house...
....2 hours later.....
I quickly got out the car...The pack house was oddly silent than what I was used to...I was on high alert, scanning for any danger when Mike appeared from the front door..
"Ahh, if it isn't Killy himself...How great of you to finally grace us with your presence.."..I snorted but that didn't stop the shit head from blabbering...
"..Don't worry big bad alpha, many of your pack members are occupied with the preparations for the full moon..."
...Shit...its in three days. I need to get Lira out of here...I couldn't mark her in three days, its too soon...She isn't ready...I need to...
As if noticing my internal debate, Mike shook his head and pointed towards the pack house..
"I'm gonna guess you kept the heat part from Lira, better move Killy boy, we don't want you to accidentally mark her without her consent..."...I nodded and dashed to the house....I followed her sweet scent and landed on..wait, what the hell is she doing in there...No one is allowed in this room, not even here...I felt my anger rise, forgetting the real reason why I was here in the first place...
I reached for the key in my jeans and unlocked the door...Her scent hit me like a train followed by the loud thumping of her heart....she's scared...good....I didn't bother turning the phone lights on because I could see in the dark..perks of being a warewolf...
I slowly approached the bed knowing that she was hiding under it...I was not in the mood for games but I kinda liked playing hide and seek with my human. I waited for her to come out...Minutes passed and I was getting annoyed with this game...
"Come out now little human, I'm getting tired of pretending that I don't know you're here"...I said in a bored tone...
"Yeah..uh..no..I kinda like it down here...If you don't mind..I'll just stay here for a few minute"....She said in her soft angelic voice...
I groaned..and in a flash, I lifted the bed and roughly tugged her out to my chest making her scream from the impact...I stared at her for a second thinking she was some crazy fool who didn't want to leave her special place until I saw her right ankle twisted in a weird way....I started panicking...Fuck, I didn't mean to hurt her...Shit...She slowly started losing consciousness...Before she could faint, she fluttered her eyes to lock them with my mine..She then blacked out....No no no...
"Lira ..Please open your eyes...I'm sorry love..Stay with me please....".I started shaking...I shouted for Mike to inform the pack doctor for my arrival...I carefully lifted her up in my arms
...With inhuman speed I was able to reach the pack hospital in a few minutes....I quickly headed to the alpha's floor and placed her on the hospital bed...One of the doctors cleard his throat...
"Alpha, we need to operate on her ancle, please wait outs..."...I grabbed him by his throat and slammed him on the wall....
"I AM NOT LEAVING HER...I WILL STAY AND NO ONE HAS A SAY ON THAT..."I could feel Titus begging for control when a farmiliar hand grabbed my shoulder...
"Killian please, she needs medical attention now...Let the doctors do their job..." Mike's voice rang in my head making me turn my focus to him...He gasped and took a step back...He only did that when Titus, the true alpha...King of wolves took control...I noticed that all their heads were bowed for my wolf ....
"I am not leaving her...Move BETA or I will make you..."...I said in a low threatening tone...Mike moved from away from me...I slowly approached Lira's bed...She laid there, unconscious, but yet still beautiful...Her pink lips were slightly parted and small puffs of air was comming uot of them...I knew what to do even when my wolf was in control....I bit my lip hard and made sure that I drew out blood...I kissed her lips and all those damn sparks erupted from my toes to my hair...I was feeding her my blood....
I heard a snap and knew it was her ankle...I knew that my blood would heal her but she needed to be hospitalized incase of any trauma or shock...I detached my lips from hers..
Igoing blinked a few times, ciezing control from Titus...I mentally thanked my wolf for handling the situation and he replied me with a growl...I knew he was mad at me for hurting her...again, I didn't mean to hurt her...I reminded him, but only got a huff in response...
I backed away from her to let the lead doctor, Jenny, examine her...She was still unconscious but would probably wake up in a few hours or so....I sat on one of the chairs in the room....Tonight is Lira's first full moon since she meet me and she will be on her first heat...not that she knows thanks to you idiot.. Titus snorted in my head....I groaned...He was right...I should've told Lira about the heat...I was snapped back to reality by Jenny's voice..
"Alpha, her vitals are normal, she's stable...She can use some bed rest but overall she'll be fine, we expect her to be awake in the next hour or so..."..I nodded....she bowed and left the room...Finally alone with my mat...My thought was interrupted by Samantha, Mike's mate...
"Killian you idiomatic idiot..."...I groaned and rolled my eyes...great, another lecture from Sam...
"What do you want cousin.."...She rolled her eyes and took a seat next to me...
"I have a name you know, you shiuld use it sometime...anyway, I heard about Lira, how is she...?" I remained silent...My eyes were on my mate and she followed them...I filled her in on what happened after we got here and she gasped.
"You mean Titus took over....I mean..its been years since he did that in human form...I am glad I wasn't here when came out...seriously your wolf is scarier in human form than in wolf form...those glowing blood red eyes.."...She shiverred from the thought....I felt Titus smirk in my head...He loved the effect he has on other wolves...
"I'm glad he did though, he acted fast and healed her..."
"Yeah...will she be okay?"..Sam asked in a sad voice...I nodded..
"Good, because she's the only person whose ever been a friend to me...I like her Killian...She should know about her true identity with you...She deserves to know..
"I don't think that's a good idea...I don't think she'll be able to handle the pressure and responsibility that comes with me being her mate."..
"Just tell her..She might take it well than you think".
"Even if I do, she'll be in danger..They will come for her Sam...He will come for her.."...Sam was one of the three people who ever saw me as...me, not the true alpha or king of wolves that my people knew...just me.. Sam, Mike and Jacob knew everything me, they knew everything about me. They are my real family...
"I'll never understand why you instist on not killing him when you know he wouldn't hesitate to rip out your guts. I know he is your sibling but he is not your brother Killian. He lost that right when he killed uncle...There is no saving him Killian, Jacob understands that and so should you. You now have a mate, its only a matter of time before he finds out about Lira. He will not hesitate, he will come for her. She should know that she is mated to a true alpha, the king of wolves...Tell her everything..Please."
I knew Sam was right...I had to tell her soon, before he comes and twists her mind..sick bastard...
"You're right...The sooner I tell her, the better she'll adjust and start accepting me as her mate..."...Sam chuckled..
"Ohh she has accepted you alright...She might not know it yet but she loves you Killian..I see it everytime she talks about you...She gets all cute and shy..."...I smiled, I knew I loved her too but wouldn't tell her anytime soon...
"....She was created for you, she is our queen luna and your mate Killian. We both know Christina will never treat them well like Lira does...The other wolves of this pack love her and its only a matter of time before all wolves in your rule love her as well...well lets just say most wolves, some are just jackasses but I'm sure she'll be able to handle them..."...Sam smiled knowingly and I wondered what she was hiding from me...
I nodded...We sat in silence for almost an hour when Sam excused herself to meet Mike..something about royal beta responsibilities and shit.. I made a mental note to apologize to Mike and the doctor later..
I may be king of wolves but I'm no tyrant, I treat my wolves with respect, especially wolves from this pack..The Blood Moon pack...home to a True alpha, the king of wolves...
I got up from the chair and slowly but carefully lifted my mate to my arms, In inhuman speed, I left the hospital and made my way to our house, a few hours away from the pack house, knowing very well that she woke up moment Sam's annoying voice rang like a fucking alarm in the room...Meaning she heard everything Sam and I talked about.
I placed her under the covers, took my clothes off, living only my briefs on...I lifted the covers and laid on the other side of the king sized bed..Her heart began to pound louder when I pulled her to my chest...
"Sleep my human...we will talk tomorrow"
...she hummed, her breathing labored...She fell asleep in my arms while I stayed awake, planning on how I'll restrict myself from marking her during her heat...
