Jameel's Perspective
Rustling of metal bars and several distant chatters, some seeking help. Those were the sounds that I woke up to. Taking several momemts adjusting my sight from the blinding light that greeted me as I open my eyes I took in my surroundings.
I was in a cage, the throbbing of my head hitting me like a bat hits the baseball for a home run, making me recall the events that happened before this.
I was on a hunting spree with some other wild hybrids. I remember separating myself from them and running after a deer by myself. Then there were gushots heard as birds flew away from trees going to somewhere safe, then the next thing I knew I was already falling to the ground while pain striked the back of my head.
Looking around it all dawned to me, I was taken by someone. No, we were taken. Looking around a few more seconds I realized that we are all hybrids here.
Ah, must be some pound owners or black market organizations that took us. Sighing I hung my head low trying to bear the pain on the back of my head spreading slowly until it took over my whole head. Gah, I really hate this, I hate headaches.
"Hey..."
A voice said making me look up in front of me just to see a beautiful set of dog ears in the shade of lavander and an equally beautiful set of crystal like light blue eyes.
A dog hybrid.
It amazed me how a dog hybrid can have that amazing and soothing color for a tail and ears that matched her light blue orbs and hair.
"Who took us? The pound or the Black Market?" I asked, not caring if I'm being too insensitive with what I asked.
She just sighed and looked down on her lap where her hands rest while fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.
"M-my name is Rossi. A-and to answer your question, I-I don't know. All I know is their scary and have big guns with them." Rossi muttered almost like a whisper.
With just one look I can already tell just how much she's scared, if not more. It's understandable though, having unknown men taking you somewhere you don't know, damn that must be hella scary for her. Specially for a pet hybrid.
Hybrids have different categories each.
One, the wild; hybrids with a wild animal as their other half or counterpart belongs here. Take me fore example, I'm a tiger hybrid, thus I belong to the wild category. While Rossi here belong to the pet, hybrids in this category are softies, dog, cat, bunnies and others. The third category is the rogue, hybrids who are out of control are being categorized here, may you be a pet or a wild, if you're out of control you are now a rogue, no questions asked. And being categorized as a rogue is very hard, everyone will judge you, no one will bother knowing what led you to be a rogue. And the worst part is, they'll just dump you somewhere far and lock you there.
I just hummed as a response, not really having the motivation to speak, plus the throbbing pain on my neck worsening by the second.
"By the way, w-what's your name?"
I turned to Rossi slowly as my mind began to wonder. My name?
"I... My name is..."
Shit. It's just a simple question, but why can't I find an answer. What's my name? Do I even have one?
"I don't know..." I said in a whisper like manner while looking down.
"So... I can call you-"
"You can call me anything you want, yeah. Anything." I said cutting her off.
She smiled, her eyes almost closing, forming two crescent moons. Her smile is so uplifting, damn I wish my smile's like that too, which unfortunately is not.
"Then I'll call you..."
