It was a night like any other in New York City, the hustle and bustle of people trying to get home from a long day of work or like some families that hurrying to leave the house to visit a place with smiles, laughter and exotic animals not to mention the freaks, which were some of the main attractions. One of these families were the McClain's, one of the baddest mob families in city some say that if you look at Johnny McClain's family the wrong way, you'd be dead before you even bat an eye. The past few weeks haven't been the best ever since his mom died, his daughter Angie was so attached to her and was the most active when she and her father were around, but at home while her papa was working in his office she would be quiet as a mouse and stood to his side the whole time because she didn't want to be with her mother Charlotte, who was a very attractive woman but all she ever wants is her husbands' attention.
The problem with that is she was part of a deal between their parents, through the whole marriage and the birth of their daughter it was always one-sided love on her side. Johnny thought she was beautiful and that there might be something, but there never a spark between them in his mind. Ever since he knew he wasn't attracted to her romantically and after Angie was born he avoided all physical contact with her since he had his little girl, but she couldn't take the hint and tried to always get his attention, each attempt failed.
Tonight he wasn't going to let that bother him since he wants to see his little girl smile again and to hear her laugh, so he decide that he would take her to the carnival to make her happy and to have a little bonding time with her without any work. "Are you excited sweetheart?" Johnny asked his daughter, who was looking out the window seeing the big bright lights up ahead before turning around giving her dad a smile and a giggle, which made him smile at his daughter's excitement. Once they were parked, Johnny and Angie got out of the back seat and his two bodyguards got out of the front, they entered the park and the sound of laughing and cheering could be heard all over. They decided to play a few games before seeing the acts and freaks, after about an hour of games Angie was holding an adorable white bunny her daddy got for her than they started to roam around to see a few side acts like fire breathers, sword swallowers, etc. "So sweetheart what do want to see first the animals, acrobats or maybe the freaks?" Johnny asked her and she started to think, but before they knew and announcement was being made and they decided to check it out, "Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls I, Andrew Du-Monte owner of Cirque De Muses, would like to introduce an old friend of mine who, 3 years ago, went to travel the world with another circus, but has returned home to us carnies." Ringmaster Andrew announced and Johnny was confused when he heard that and started to wonder who it was since he never been to this carnival before. He noticed some of the families whispering with one another like they have gone her their whole lives, he suddenly overheard a man asking his wife "Do you think it's her, hon?" with that he heard the wife respond "It has to be dear she was the only one who left to travel any other ones would be retired," now this had him curious.
Johnny broke out of his thought with his pants being tugged at and looked down at Angie who wanted to be picked up and he did. That's when the ringmaster began the rest of the announcement on the wooden stage, "I can see and hear that some of you fine people probably know who I am talking about and those who don't get ready for the surprise of your life may I introduce the lovely and exotic Renenutet the Serpent Woman!" in a matter of seconds there was loud cheering as the ringmaster left the stage into the tent and slowly it began to get quite when a woman of pale emerald green skin, light golden eyes and long, wavy raven hair came onto to the stage dressed in a slight elegant white and gold dress that an Egyptian goddess would wear, gold bangles and no shoes. Everyone in the crowd gasped and roared in cheers knowing she has come back, but one man held his breath the moment she walked out of stage and stared at the rare sight before him taking in the unusually and enchanting beauty that was bowing and waving to the crowd. Johnny just stared at the woman their not taking notice around him, which gave Angie the perfect time to wiggle out of her fathers arms and explore the carnival by herself since her daddy was distracted. As she wondered the grounds she wasn't heading in the directions of where the whole carnival, but towards the back of the carnivals where all the carnies and freaks have their tents to sleep in.

As the crowd broke away to enjoy the other attractions, Johnny was still looking at the scaled beauty, who was talking to the ringmaster, trying to figure out what it was that he found so attractive about her, but his thoughts were broken by his right hand asking him in concern "Boss, where the tiny boss lady," that's when Johnny looking around and saw that Angie wasn't attached to his leg than he started to panic "Angie, Angie! babygirl where are you!?" johnny yelled over the crowd near to see if she was there, but didn't hear anything that sound like her than a voice behind him asked "Sir, is everything alright?" he turned to see the snake woman behind him looking concerned "No, my daughter s-she was r-right here but now she isn't, I have to find her,"he said frantically looking every where. Renenutet was now concerned "Oh dear, what does she look like and what's her age?" she asked the concerned father "She is 3 years-old, wearing a red dress with white bow around her waist white socks and black shoes, she also has short dark hair," Johnny said and Renenutet nodded before turning and explaining to the ringmaster what was going on before joining the search. She had suggest to look near the camp grounds in case she wondered in that direction, not knowing that she already has entered the camp. Angie was enjoying her little adventure and being in her own little world, she didn't noticed that some of the freaks saw her enter wondering why their was a child in the camp which is was kind of dangerous for a child that small, so one of them, the tallest woman Nadine went to go look for the ringmaster while the others stayed slowly behind the child to make sure she doesn't get hurt, they may be freaks but they aren't monsters.
After wondering through two to three rows of tents, little Angie started to get sleepy and wanted to lay down, but didn't know where until she saw pretty tent that was a little bigger and wider than all the others. She decided to enter the tent noticing there was quite a large bed and her drowsiness was taking over her so she crawled onto the bed and laid her head on the soft pillows before drifting into a sweet slumber. Outside the tent where the freaks were standing they did not enter the tent knowing whats inside and feared for the poor girl, that's when seal boy said "Someone go get Rene quick!" after that a few ran to go find her, but it didn't take very long since she was running in their direction with the ringmaster and the worried gang father with his two bodyguards, "What is it everyone? where is the child?" Rene asked seeing her friends looking worried "S-she went into YOUR tent , Rene," the fire breather spoke and without hesitation she ran faster to her tent and threw open the tarp door open than stopped at the sight before her and the others stopped behind her, "What? what is it? is my daughter alright!?" Johnny asked worried and angry. Rene nodded before moving aside showing everyone what she was seeing and they began to have the same expression that she had, before their eyes was a strange but sweet gesture was happening all of Rene's snakes were helping make the little comfortable while she is a sleep. Her python, Mumbai, gentle lifted the child's head while her emerald boa pushed a pillow under it before placing her head back than two of her Four-lined snakes brought a small blanket over her small form and her baby milk snake, struggling, brought up her white bunny toy to cuddle with.
Everyone was astonished with what they just saw, "Wow Rene, you've really trained your snakes well over the years," Ringmaster Andrew chuckled lightly, as she didn't answer him and walked towards Mumbai and touched her skin softly before speaking "I have taught my snakes a lot of important things, not to attack unless provoked, to never scare anyone including children and to never to leave the grounds without me, but this was not what I taught them--," Rene stopped talking and looked towards Mumbai than nodded in understanding "I see, it seems that my snakes feel a connection with this little one, when they saw her looking uncomfortable in her sleep they decided to make her feel comfortable, I must say I am proud of them," Rene walked over to her bed and gently picked up little Angie wrapping her in the little blanket before handing her over to her father.
After a few apologies from him to Rene about his daughter, Johnny was ready to head home and relax he walked out her tent with his daughter and headed towards the car where his guards were waiting. Rene had decided to get ready for bed as she was taking off her jewelry in front of her vanity she noticed that the little girl forgot her toy, so without hesitation she threw on her silk robe and grab the toy heading out of her tent trying to catch up with them. Once she got to the outer part of the carnival she saw Johnny putting the sleeping Angie in the car, "Sir, excuse me sir wait please," she said while jogging towards him, Johnny turned around to see Rene coming towards him and it made his heart skip a beat for a moment "I am sorry to disturb you as you were taking off home, but I found this on the floor of my tent," Rene held out the little bunny "Oh thank you, she would have bawled if she saw it gone, thanks again for earlier Miss Renuna, um" Johnny said trying to pronounce her name which in turned earned a giggle from her before correcting him. "It's Renenutet but you can call me Rene and it was no trouble at all I am just glad she was safe," Rene said moving a piece of her hair out of her face even if it fell back again feeling slightly flustered for some reason after a couple of seconds they their 'good nights' as he got in the car and she was walking back to her tent, Johnny called out to her "Rene!" she turned around to see him in the car with the window rolled down "I hope to catch your first show tomorrow," he said with a killer smile that made her blush and she nodded giving him a smile as well. As the father and daughter left in their car, she didn't know what came over her but she turned and waved them off as they drove home and out of some instinct Johnny turned seeing her standing there waving, in that moment he felt something he never thought he could have especially for a gangster.
