"You've met a what?!" Father exclaimed as his voice was booming from his office. As soon as Abbey, Karis, and I have arrived home
Karis wanted a word to Father and it seems serious, and if I said serious, I mean really serious that they even need to talk privately with the rest of the family while I was with the twins
The twins and I both look to my Father's office who is only a meter away at the corner
"Aunt Kyon?" Ulloriaq suddenly called out, I looked at her and Uffe who had tilted their head in curiosity on what's going on and why is their Grandfather shouting, booming his loud snarled voice
"Don't worry, Grandfather and the others were just discussing about something" I said with an assuring smile on my lips. The both of them nodded and continued on playing with the cards with me
As time had passed, Abbey walked towards me, saying that Father seek for my presence. I excused myself from the twins and headed to my Father's office. I don't know what going on or what's happening that it is serious
I knocked at the door and announced them my presence as I waited for Father to allow me in
"You may come in" Father's voice said at the other side of the door
I pushed the two doors as I met my family's gaze unto me with a serious and worried look in their eyes. I entered the room as I shut the doors softly behind me and walk forward to my Father's desk
"May I ask why had Father called me?" I looked at Father with curiosity in my eyes that has a lot of questions that I wanted to ask when Father suddenly spoke
"Do you know what wolf-bornes are, Kyon?" Father asked me with a sudden question that I don't understand, I narrowed my eyes as my arms were crossing on my chest.
Wolf-borne? What are those? I haven't heard nor read of it from the books from the library nor the other humals talking about it. My Father looked at me like he knew what my answer was going to be. He let out a sigh and started to speak
"Wolf-bornes are different from us, Humal Wolves"
Different? What kind of different?
"They are like no other Humal Wolves, their bodied are two times much larger than ours, they were ginormous, their speed, strength, bods, hearing" Father continued
"Well what about it?" I asked. "Why is it such a big fuss about it?"
Nobody speaking, the room was booming and screaming from the silence that was covering the whole and each of every corner of the room. Then, my Father finally had spoken
"They are dangerous, Kyon" Father said, breaking the silence that surrounds us
"What do you mean by dangerous?"
"They snarl, growl, howl, and act... " He paused and took a big and deepest sigh that Father ever had. "Like monsters, especially the King"
King? What does that supposed to mean?
"I don't understand" I said in confusion in my voice as I narrowed my eyes at Father
"Let's not talk about this any further, Kyon" Father said, leaving my questions behind
"Your all dismissed"
"But—"
"I said dismissed" He said firmly, leaving me with my questions. Karis tap at my shoulder and drag me out of the office with the rest of the family
"Kyon" Called out my Mother, the Luna of the pack. I looked at her as I a trace of worried look in her eyes
"I know you still have a lot of questions but..." She trailed off as she bit her lip and continue. "Please do understand"
My breathe hitch and recover soon enough to not let her noticed, I just gave a one reassuring faint smile on her
Seconds turns to Minutes
Minutes turns to Hours
Hours tunes to a Day
A Day turns to Weeks
And Weeks turns to Months
I rise from the tub and grab the towel that was hanging beside me
It's been two and a half months had passed since that day and the questions that was lingering in my mind soon has forgotten as the time passes by
After drying myself up, I just threw an underwear that looked like a mini short and a large long sleeve polo that ended up to my mid thigh. I have grown accustomed wearing like this even tho the whole place was cold
I let my white hair fell as I grab the brush at my coffee stand beside my table and began to brush my hair gently
Father had forbid me to go at the forest to protect me from any harm at the forest since the day that we have encountered a Wolf-borne
I put the brush back and walked towards the porch of my room. As I was about to close the door, I saw someone, but when I look back again, there was nothing
I just shake my head and ignored it thinking that it must be my eyes playing on me
Then a lightning bolt brightened the forest that was a few yards away from my balcony as a furious thunder boomed afterwards
At that moment, I knew something was there, no, it wasn't something... It was someone
A silhouette under one of the trees. It was looking at my way, it was staring at me. The silhouette moved and
"Kyon?"
A knock at my door appear. I looked behind me as Karis spoke
"Hey, would you like to go with me to ease your boredom somehow?" He asked, I shook my head and replied
"No, it's fine Karis"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah..." A couple of seconds passed by as he accepted my answer and left. I looked back once again at the forest where I saw the silhouette
It was gone
