The sky began to rain deeply and Andreas desperately aroused from the floor to manage his best to grab her body on its way down to prevent her any additional hurt. Catching her on the fly, his expression was all the opposite of relieved.
He was concerned about the consequences he had to face with the whole council. The best he could hope for was that she would be expelled by the school and by the Otherworld. But people were killed for less dangerous things than the one she did.
The only thing he knew was that he couldn't let her alone and that he would fight for her now. He tried to listen to other people, but that just lead him to worsen things and it was their fault if she transformed into her evil side.
He went inside where the party was, carrying her body, after wiping out all the glasses and the alcohol and everything else that he didn't really care about whatever it was. Then he managed to take off his jacket and with the other hand kept her body. After covering the table with his jacket he delicately laid the body on it. Few people backed off at the sight of her body being left there and others tried to get out but with a quick movement, he has frozen the handle of the door locking them inside.
He cleared his voice and took a step afar from her, gazing at the crowd of scared people inside.
"This is my fault." He pointed a finger at Roselyn's unconscious body. "I drove her crazy with my behavior and hurt her so much that her evil side took full control of her."
His gaze became sad but he lifted his chin swallowing down each negative feeling as he had to be rational now.
"She lives emotions double and even three times harder deeply than we do. She always did since she was younger. It's like her perception is altered by the feelings that completely wrap her like if she was into a storm. Imagine being left by the one you ..." he met Mark's gaze who looked puzzled and worried, "the one you truly love," he opened his mouth wide probably putting the pieces together and seeing the brutal reality of things.
"Imagine how desperate and the excrucial pain it left you in. The negative miserable feelings that leave completely emotionless you soul and right a second after they explode into your body like a bomb in glassware."
They all dropped their gaze to the floor like they were now both scaring and pitying her.
"Imagine that, doubled up by the alcohol and amplified by her natural perception of things."
He took a few seconds to pause and recover himself. To continue in a smoothie higher tone he spoke, "I am not justifying her. I am just hoping that when you will testify to the council and the magic court what you saw. You will consider it."
He took a long deep breath to gaze once more at each one of the people present in the room.
"She successfully won her evil side, that's what matters. I hope you can side with her, or at least try to comprehend." He curved his smile into what seemed a smile but noticing how people were not smiling back his smile faded.
He put his hand on his head letting out a scream of resignation.
Then he stretched his hand toward the handle to melt the ice. They immediately run out like beasts closed in a fence.
Mark was the one who remained inside, his eyes darting back and forth between Roselyn and Andreas.
"Look..." Andreas hissed as he read in his eyes coming to a realization.
Mark gestured his hands in the air as tears wet his face, "I can't believe it..."
Andreas bit his tongue to try to keep any mean comment, gathering all his patience in his body and in his intentions to be, for once in his life, decently nice.
"I am sorry.." he murmured, both of them knew that he wasn't at all.
Mark gave an annoyed scoff, "you two are really made for each other." That's all that managed to come out of his words then he walked toward the door to pause his step right in front of it.
He punched the door with rage then turned around, "I don't even know where to go in this ... world. How to come back home." He clenched his teeth as he enunciated.
"Before leaving you to have to remember that y.."
"I won't tell anyone don't worry. Tell Ros... your girlfriend or whatever, to forget me for the rest of her life. I don't even want to hear her name from now on." He interjected Andreas who nodded. "I will bring you back to Earth tomorrow."
Mark shook his head, his gaze was imploding in anger and disappointment. "Now." He said in a challenging tone of voice.
Andreas raised his eyebrow clearing his voice, "now I have to take care of more important things, in case you haven't noticed."
"I don't care. I want to g.."
Andreas is the one who intervened during his saying, as he snapped the last bit of patience he held.
Taking a step forward him Andreas gave a nervous laugh, "if you have the urgency to go, the door is there. Leave. If not, take a fucking glass of whiskey and sleep it off. I have no patience to deal with an immature child who got his little innocent heartbroken for the first time in his life." He said spitefully. Tapping Mark's shoulders. "So find the way out or shut the fuck up and wait."
Mark laughed, taking her hair back, clenching his fist to prepare himself to punch.
