The darkness devoured the forest and made it more frightening to common eyes. However, it was certain that there might be something that involves killing the villagers.
"Those who didn't defer shall be punished," this saying says more than we could guess. You have to obey the forest monster to stay here. Otherwise, the end would be near them. The true meaning wasn't in the first half of the sentence. The thing is what might be the punishment whether or not it would be severe is not the case. If there aren't any identified punishments then there are two possibilities, one is that it's gonna be a hard penalty another it is just a little hit.
Human psychology is that humans tend to fear something that didn't ever saw. If you saw the ghost at the beginning of the movie then you wouldn't be curious anymore. you would feel disappointed and bored. Nowadays, movie creators use human psychology to predetermined what the viewers would feel. Would they be excited to watch the movie or just got irritated?
Loki and Sakura were hiding their body in the brushes, looking at the ritual that was performed before then. A circle was drawn on the ground using stone bricks. It was so old that some of the brick had already gone down into the dirt, making them invisible. On the other hand, the fire that was dancing in the middle of it showed no age. It was perfectly untouched. A guy was tightened to the poll in the middle although his body was throbbing out of fear. The fear of death. There wasn't any light source other than in the middle. The nearby large trees made the three directional paths darker. Their shadow was cast on the ground.
"Please save me! Someone.....Someone....save me...I don't want to die!!" His loud voice was reverberating and Loki was able to grasp it clearly as well as Sakura. Sakura who was worrying about the guy unconscious asked Loki.
"Shouldn't we save him? He's gonna die if this continues."
"This has to be continued."
"Eh?" Sakura was stunned by this sudden change.
"How can you say that? You're being so rude here."
"I have to see the face of that so-called forest monster. I have to see whoever is pulling the string."
"I see, but we have to hurry." Sakura's concerned expression was right in point. This guy who was calling for help to no one hasn't given up on the fight.
All of a sudden the cold wind began bowing out of the dark forest. The shrieking guy stopped all of a sudden.
"It has come to devour."
At this moment Loki felt a dark aura emitting out in the dark. There wasn't anything visible at the minute but the sound of steps coming near was sound and it had shaken the guy quite a bit as his eyes were wide open with a scared look on his white face.
*STEP!*
*STEP!*
The tall grasses moved as the being was coming forward. Within a minute Loki spoke with a grin on his face.
"I knew it."
