Chapter 109 - Chapter: 109: Dark Room

The room was clean and comfortable. Max found it safe. The interior inside was very much like a traditional Japanese style. It wasn't as small as Max had imagined rather it was pretty big and compact size. No wonder it was not downstairs. The rooms of down were already checked by Max. She knew those rooms. They were not even close to this one. A heater was placed in the middle of the room to warm themselves. The floor was made out of thick leather-type material making the cold couldn't enter. The ceiling was made out of as usual wood. Keeping the fact that it was not an expensive hotel, Max looked around and found an unpleasant sight. It was Jack who was laying on the ground spreading his leg wide. To be more precise, he looked as of he was fallen on the ground by chance. Max didn't pay any heed to him rather she was gazing at the fusion kept neatly near him. The lazy Jack went to sleep without taking one for him. There were exactly two of them, One for himself and the other for Max. To get to the corner of the room and take out a fusion, Max needed to pass Jack who was deep in his sleep.

Stepping quietly, Max grabbed Jack's leg and placed down it a little far behind. As he was in profound sleep, he didn't barge a slight. After that, she took out a fusion and placed it on the floor to sleep. There's one last thing she had to do, turn off the lights. However, she remembered something as she went near the door. She locked the door using the keys the receptionist gave her. The keys were not modern type. Max found it difficult at first but she got the hands of it. After that, she turned off the lights and laid down to sleep.

The darkroom was not too dark as the lights were emitting through the holes on the ceilings. As things went the lights directly hit Max's beautiful faces. Her attitude because cold. Sleep is an important role of life. If you can't get enough sleep, you would definitely get angry. In Max's, it was widely visible. She wasn't able to sleep properly for three days straight. Now that she got a chance, it was hampered by those freaky lights. On the other hand, Jack wasn't bothered by those lights at all. He was sleeping like there was no tomorrow. Max couldn't help but think of him as a hippo. His body was just like it. Max went in deep thinking as she couldn't sleep due to those lights.

"Mr. Henry gave us the address of the forest. He said he gave Jodan to him. When I asked why is it, he just avoided the question. Perhaps, he doesn't know the answer. All he said was something kind of deal he did with him. " Max closed her eyes as the doziness took control of her. But the next moment she felt a knife at her throat so she reacted immediately and grabbed the knife with bare hand.

"My, my, you're pretty quick, Missy!"
