Chapter 105 - Chapter: 105: Sakura

The Inn was not a bad one to stay at least for now. Max was trying to find any stuff to get a room, however, there wasn't a single person to be found. It was like a hunted house. As the lights were on, Max didn't lose her hope yet. She was making a tough face and unconditionally opening and closing the rooms. There were only twenty rooms in there. The Inn was two-storied so it was divided by two, meaning ten rooms per floor. Max had gone through the first floor but found no one. Some of the rooms were locked for some reason. Max was able to open most of the rooms. After learning that there's no one on the first floor, Max wanted to go to the second floor. To go to the second floor you have to come back to the lobby. The staircase was situated near the receptionist's table. The large doors were on both sides of the hallways just like in any other traditional Japanese house. Max was able to return to the lobby, as she looked around to see how Jack was doing but there was no one left. The lobby was empty. Seeing that Max became worried and rushed to the spot Jack was laying a few minutes ago. The floor was untouched. It was as if Jack never was here. His existence was wiped out completely. Max got pulled up her head in search of Jack. Her eyes lustered throughout the lobby but there was nothing to see. The paintings were there, the light hanging was still flickering.

"You miss!"

Max freaked out for a second because of that sudden voice. She turned around to see the one and founded herself a bit puzzled.

"Who are you?" The one who asked was Max. A small girl wearing kimono forced a smile on her face.

Her body was slim and slander. The hair was nearly crumbled with various hair clips. The color on the kimono was a mixture of red and pink.

"I'm the receptionist of the Inn. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself politely. After that, she bowed her head slightly and continued.

"You're looking for your lover, right? He's in second-floor room 129"

"Whos my lover?"

"That macular guy with a peculiar costume on."

Max now found that it was indeed Jack because of the description the girl put forward.

"Oh, I see but he's not my lover. More likely an enemy. Why did you move him?"

"Well, when I saw him laying on the ground I thought someone must have left him here. For that reason, I placed him in one of our empty rooms."

"So, it was out of pity?" The girl denied it right away. "

"No-o, Nothing like that."

"Call me Sakura. Here's your key." Sakura handed her a pair keys of to the room. It was the same room Jack was placed. Max took the stairs and entered the room.
