Chapter 99 - Chapter: 99: Fate?

Loki was weak because of the fight earlier. His body felt heavier than ever. His eyes were blurring in and out. No matter how you look at him, he's nowhere close to walking. He was just dragging himself with a half-broken stick that he found on his way. His health level was close to zero. The Hunter had left him in that miserable fight. Of course, He held grudge against him. His body wasn't built for the fight. The skinny body could hardly be in any use in one on one combat. The bloodthirst in him had gone down for now. Why was he raging on the Boar is still a question. No even he knows the answer.

The fight took place a bit far from the cave where the hunter and the old man should be. So, Loki needed a handful of steps to reach there. Even though his body was in a vulnerable state, he didn't stop moving just for a second. His persistence was on another level. Two broken ribs a fractured hand weren't that enough for a person? Moreover, the exaggerating pain with a headache was making him throb. Every second he was fighting to the death.

For a normal person, it might be a laughable matter that how can someone be in such a state just by a tackle from a boar. Well, it might not be a big deal for a normal person. But in his case, it's a huge matter.

From the moment he was born the doctors declared him a weak child because he was born earlier than the usual time. For that reason, his body couldn't develop property like a normal child. His mother always kept him in her arms. Not only that he was restricted to went outside for a while because of his skin damage. However, that problem was resolved but the vulnerable body was still left. In his state, you can't help but just give up and put your life in hands of fate.

Loki was getting closer and closer to the cave as he could see a light. It was yellowish. Loki tried to focus his gaze on it and found that it was a fire made with dry leaves. The fire waving right to left as the wind blows. It seemed as if the flame was about to lose its power by the never-ending gust. Loki averted his eyes and looked at his legs. Clenching his teeth we pushed forward but his legs wouldn't move. Looking at his half-paralyzed body he sneered with agony.

"Look Loki, it is the most you can do. Huh, I don't want to admit that. I don't want to lose at fate." He was talking to himself like a mad man. He yanked his right leg and tried to push with his both hand in the meantime he had already thrown his stick that was holding him. Due to standing for too long in one place, the mud had taken shape of his shoes and so it wouldn't barge a fraction.

"Tch, Pathetic." Making a pitiful reaction Loki given up on moving and looked up at the massive sky with a sun hanging onto it. "Huh" A sudden sensation was felt throughout his entire body and he began to hover on air.

"W-What..." His eyes widen as his entire body slammed on the ground because his body could hold his weight for any longer. The unconscious corpse of him laying on the muddy yet dried land. Although he was only a few steps away from his destination he could reach it in the end.
