"Oi! Jack slow down. Show some sincerity. We are here as a guest!" Max uttered those words with anger.
"Don't worry about that. Let him eat. He might be really hungry." said Mr. Henry. He was being generous towards both of them. Was it because they save his daughter? Whatever the reason was Max couldn't' help but also eat as if she never have eaten anything in her life. Within a few minutes, A gorgeous barbie doll came across the dining table with her white long dress like in Cinderella.
"Oh, my princess. You look wonderful in this dress. God bless you. I can't describe how beautiful you look." Mr. Henry had snapped from his usual calm manner to a lovely sugar daddy manner.
"Oh! really! Thanks for your comment. Papa." How she pronounced the word 'papa' is quite something. Seeing this very unusual father-daughter love Jack choked. Max was frozen into her place and could hardly take another bite. After noticing Max and the other guy's presence she came close to Max and asked nonchalantly, "How about you? How do I look like?"
Max was silenced for a while as she couldn't find what to say. All good words like beautiful, wonderful already have taken by her father. But she had to compliment her with something. after brainstorming for a while, she was left with one way too simple one.
".....Nice....."
Thereupon getting the best accompaniments from her dad, her bar of expectations rose high. She might have thought something incredibly special things going to happen but she fell from the sky. In Max's sense, she is just an attention seeker. She would do anything for getting your attention. Those types of girls were common to Max as she had seen them in college. Most of the time she would avoid getting a conversation with them. This was the first time for her. Therefore, she couldn't help but to nervous out.
Getting such a lame appreciation from her, Emily's face was like "Huh? That was what you had to say?"
But she then again wore her usual cheerful mask.
"Oh! How nice of you!" Saying that she tilted her head and went near one of the empty chairs. Jack didn't have the time to notice all of this as he was so busy eating. In most cases, his eating food was not going straight to his mouth rather it was falling out of his mouth. He was making mass on the table. Emily sat on the empty chair. The waitress brought her food although it wasn't the same as Loki and Max ate. It was too different from them. Most probably it was Mexican food such as burrito and taco. It looked quite delicious compared to usual Japanese food. Emily took the fork and a knife and sliced the meat dish placed on her right side elegantly. She was indeed a daughter of a graceful family. Two or more workers were standing beside her. Each of them was assigned to a specific job. Like one of them was holding another dish. the other was holding a napkin to wipe her pretty face. it was a wholesome moment.
