In a lush mountain, far from all civilization, where many wild animals live, many of which no one imagined exist, there was a young human of about 25 years, dressed in white, accompanied by a thick branch that anyone could find in a tree . This young man was Alex, one of the youngest members of the Ahú tribe, characterized by adoring life, nature and the fluidity of existence.
The Ahú believed that all living beings are part of the same entity, they all share the same origin, the same essence. They also followed different customs, since they preferred to appreciate nature and simple things, they did not abstain from their wishes and thoughts, nor did they force their ideals, since, if it is not natural, it is not real, they said.
Despite all this, nobody tried to take advantage of them, much less looked down on them. This given that on one hand they were kind and supportive with everyone, but on the other, they were a very united clan and with many members of unknown strength, but capable of living in hostile environments and defeating beasts that not even the most daring or strong warriors would think to face.
Alex, for his part, did not follow all the customs of his people, which, on the other hand, was what his people professed, since he simply followed their instincts and encouragement. He was currently enjoying nature, for no reason. He had always loved observing and thinking, reasoning and appreciating what nature had to offer him. Alex hadn't told anyone, but he felt a deep connection with everything around him, even many of the survival techniques he possessed he learned from nature itself.
He had left his tribe 10 years ago after the coming of age ceremony, where the clan ensured that all members had the basis for stable personal growth, in search of their own path. Each generation of the Ahú clan has approximately 25 young people, of which approximately 5 annually decide to embark on distant adventures or completely abandon the tribe, but always maintaining familiarity and responsibility as members of the clan. Alex, as one of 6 members who decided to find their own destiny outside the tribe, had started his adventure traveling through different towns and capitals, forests, mountains and deserts, even embarking on different adventures through the Akhasian seas. If someone asked him if he missed visiting his home, he always replied that wherever he went, it would always be his home, that there was nothing better than learning, knowing and living.
During all this time he got to know and make friends with many races of intelligent beings, many of which he had never heard while being in his clan, we must bear in mind that the Ahú clan was in a region far from the big capitals, so their contact was mainly with nature and some towns, in addition, the members who left the clan almost never returned, since there were never great emergencies to contact them.
The world they live in is gigantic, to the point that not even magic allowed them to go through it completely, unless, of course, it was one of the great regional Monarchs. But if something characterized the civilization of the time, it was the fact that there were almost no wars, all races lived together in harmony and respected different cultures and opinions. There were no imposed rules, it was like the world flowed with its own order. The basic problems were solved with technology and magic, the attacks of wild beasts were contained by the different warriors and magicians and in case of unforeseen events, all cities had the necessary technology to defend themselves.
But this was not always the case, 2000 years ago, the world was still in chaos and ruled by force, power was everything, for the same reason jobs such as magicians, mechanics, trainers and military of various branches were widely developed , there was a hierarchy according to expertise and combat skills. There were legends of fearless heroes and incredibly strong authorities, clans were formed to survive and it was a time of great want in many ways.
Until one day a girl with unique characteristics was born, being able to reason and speak, she told the monks of a monastery that they had to perform a magical ritual, sacrificing her to fulfill the wish of the gods. Freeing the world of nature from chaos. Until now no one knows how someone like this could be born, her family was humble and without special characteristics, they were devotees of a temple and worked as farmers to survive.
But with the coming of peace, there was no longer a great need for the art of war, other technologies were developed for productivity and now only half of the population decided to learn martial arts, magic or other techniques of the ancient era.
The Ahú clan was one of the few that always taught defense techniques, since they constantly interacted with the dangers of nature. The things they taught depended on the abilities and interests of the young people, but initially everyone had to learn the basics of all branches of knowledge in the world.
Alex was always versed in reading and studying, so he learned everything his people had to teach him; Then, with each different trip, he learnt about the different cultures and exchanged knowledge with them, to the point that now he knew so much that he could be considered one of the most erudite person that someone could get to know, although generally the first impression he gives is that of a monk disinterested for worldly things.
Today Alex was in the Mahu Mountains, north of the Mux continent, searching for the remains of an ancient lost civilization, which, they said, suddenly disappeared 500,000 years ago, shortly after the beginning of the first records of the Great War. While Alex didn't have high hopes of finding something, he had recently received a map as a token of affection after saying goodbye to a friend he met on his last trip. On this map, the Mahu Mountains appeared and in the center and red dot indicating a lost city.
As he made his way through the vegetation, after days of exploration, he suddenly noticed a structure carved out of stone, it looked like a door covered in roots. As he approached, Alex noticed that nature suddenly turned silent, alerted, he began to slowly observe his surroundings, but upon not noticing anything strange, he continued walking towards the door.
Once in front of it, Alex could see that the entire structure was carved with runes that he had never seen, even when cleaning it from the roots that covered it, it struck him that these runes were intact, as if time had not really affected the structure.
With his enthusiasm for knowledge, the first thing he did was use a memory crystal to store an image of the gate and its structure, the runes and all possible details; so as to be able to investigate the runes more thoroughly in the future.
After making sure there was nothing else to search, he decided to push the door open, out of curiosity, as it was rare to see a door standing up in the middle of nowhere, but he couldn't move it. It was extremely heavy and robust. In his last attempt, Alex decided to infuse some of his mana into the door while pushing it, to see if he could activate the runes and finally open it or see some reaction.
What happened next would be the last thing Alex would see for thousands of years.
