It was a normal Monday morning in the Lee residence, Mrs. Lee as usual was busy in preparing breakfast for the children, Ali was kind enough to help her in setting the table and Se Ho was busy in bathing Daeul. It had been three days since Daeul and Soeul were discharged from the hospital, everything seemed as bubbly as it was even more so when Daeul arrived. A car honk was heard from the front lawn and Mrs. Lee ran to meet the person, she was expecting Hye Rin and Daniel this morning, but what surprised her was the person that came out of the car. It wasn't Daniel or Hye Rin that came out, it was her beautiful daughter Sarang that came from Malaysia to visit her mother for the holidays.
Sarang is a pretty lady that took most of Mrs. Lee's physical structures; she has long dark hair, with a pale complexion and long limbs. Sarang was planning on surprising her beloved mother during the holidays; she was set on coming home secretly to surprise her and the kids. Sarang was very close to the children even before she went to study in Malaysia. She missed them so much; she treated them as her own siblings. There was one thing that Sarang wanted to know so badly, and that was what kind of Sung Hye Rin was to have made the children love her and more importantly the reserved Seo Daniel interested in her. Sarang was one of Seo Daniel's very close friends, aside from Donggeun and some of his friends, Sarang was the first female friend Daniel had.
The moment Sarang came out of her car Mrs. Lee ran straight to her and wrapped her arms around her. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Mrs. Lee asked, it was obvious in her face that she was elated in seeing her daughter home after being apart for so long. "I wanted to surprise you" Sarang merely answered, "Where is dad?" Sarang added shewas not only excited to see her mom but her dad as well, "He's coming this Wednesday" Mrs. Lee said while guided her daughter inside the warm haven.
"SARANG EONNI/NOONA" both Se Ho and Ali ran to greet their big sister excitedly, Sarang was happy to see them again, but what caught her eyes was the little girl hiding upstairs while looking at her, "Who's she?" Sarang asked curious about the girl she had met for the first time. "Her name is Soeul, she's a really sweet girl, she calls Daniel Papa and Hye Rin Momma, I guess that's how she copes up with her parent's death" Mrs. Lee said solemnly, it's true she really felt sorry for the girl, considering at such a young age she lost her parents.
"Thankfully we have her little brother" Mrs. Lee added cheerfully, "How did you find him?" Sarang asked "We didn't, Soeul did, she saw him when she was admitted three days ago" Mrs. Lee said, Sarang and Mrs. Lee were having a great time catching up with each other, it had been a whole year since Sarang left for Malaysia, they were eating breakfast together when Soeul came near to Sarang "Are you my Momma's friend?" Soeul asked with a smile "I haven't met your momma yet but I am your papa's friend" Sarang said all the while smiling brightly at the girl, Soeul saw this as a great opportunity to introduce herself to the smiling lady "I'm Soeul and I'm two years old" Soeul said, raising her two little fingers, Sarang was delighted by the little girl's cuteness "I'mLee Sarang, you can call me Aunt Sarang" She said "like us" Ali said "Sarang Eonni is very kind and smart I want to be like her someday" Ali added boastfully, Se Ho merely smiled at his best friend's claim and ate silently, Sarang was helping Soeul finish her breakfast when a sudden car honk stole their attentions, everyone was quiet till Se Ho decided to break the silence, "It's Daniel HYUNG!!" Se Ho was excited to see his big brother again after a week; the kids were running towards the door, Sarang and Mrs. Lee were standing by the dining room window watching the kids run towards the car. Daniel came out of the car and opened Hye Rin's car door and helped her bring their presents for the kids, "They look like a married couple" Sarang exclaimed Mrs. Lee merely smiled and said "Come let's meet them" Mrs. Lee dragged her daughter out of the door.
Daniel honked the car before parking it, he came out of the car and dashed towards Hye Rin's door, once he opened it he took most of the bags that they got from the store, "I'll take these" He said and took the heavy bags from her, Hye Rin came out of the car and smiled at Daniel gratefully, "Momma, Papa" Soeul ran as fast as her little legs could, she was excited to see them again, "Soeul!" Hye Rin called out and took the little girl into her arms, Hye Rin was glad to see her again, it was as if the little girl never went to the hospital, "Where is Daeul?" Daniel asked, "He's upstairs sleeping" Mrs. Lee said greeting them happily, "It's great to see you again Dan Dan" Sarang said teasingly "Sarang, It's good to see you too" Daniel said and wrapped his arms around Sarang, Hye Rin was carrying Soeul inside, while Daniel and Sarang were busy catching up with each other.
Everyone was seated in the living room, the kids were busy playing and watching movies. "So you're Sung Hye Rin, I'm Lee Sarang, I'm Daniel's close friend and Donggeun's little sister" Sarang introduced herself to Hye Rin, "It's so nice to meet you!" Hye Rin replied enthusiastically, she was so excited in meeting Mrs. Lee's daughter, hoping that she would become her friend, "Have you met Chi Lin?" Sarang asked, "Not yet, why?" Hye Rin asked, she knew that Chi Lin was her senior and that she was Daniel's Leading lady in his upcoming film, but she had failed to meet her yet, "Be careful when you're with her, She's obsessed with Dan Dan here" Sarang said, she knew how Chi Lin was when it comes to Daniel, she too was once threatened by the girl to move away from Daniel, "I hope it's not that bad." Hye Rin said hoping that she would be spared. "Well don't worry about it I'm sure Daniel will protect you" Sarang said teasingly, she was amused as how the girl was flustered by her tease, they were slowly getting along together till a cry was heard from upstairs, "Daeul's up, Daniel would you mind bringing him here" Mrs. Lee asked kindly, Daniel immediately got up and trotted up the stairs to little Daeul.
Daniel came down with the little bubbly boy in his arms; everything was going as good as it could be, from surprises to surprises to meeting Lee Sarang.
