The immediate threat had been eliminated, but time was of the essence. Over the hundred people around, only Li, Lilith, Kai, Vega and I proceeded towards the inner chamber. The others would secure things and try to take a rest.
We put on our gas masks and turned on our lights. The inner chamber was filled with gas from the smoke grenades.
The two mercenaries stood over a heavy bearded man who seemed to to unconscious. He had a bullet wound on his right thigh.
Li looked at the man before he took out a phone and opened a photo on it. Displaying it side by side with the man, a smile bloomed on his face.
"You have made grate contributions. Take him out and have him patched up."
He ordered as the guys left with the unconscious man. By this time, the gas had already disappeared, only a small amount remained in the air. Looking around, I noticed that it was a small room with a few monitors around. It looked like a small command centre.
