Chapter 18 - Story (I) part (II)

"…One day, the lovers were standing on the top of a cliff. Soren intended to propose to Raya. He had no idea whether her father would let his daughter marry a human or let her live among them or not. Meanwhile, he heard the horns of battle. Calling for combat men So, he postponed his proposal to some other time and headed back to the city. Met King Ordos and said, "Cras has finally let himself to invade our realm."

The king admitted as already expected, "I've sent him a message: If the Rimon people had the intention of attacking my realm, I would have fought them fearlessly. I learned that you and your courtiers want to invade Parthia base on personal intentions. So, I am ready to show mercy to your embassy and release the Rimon captives if you change your mind."

Then he paused and said, "He has written me back a very rude letter that he would answer me in Selaor. The ambassador I have sent replied to him that he could step in Selaor when the hell freezes." So the war was on the way.

Soren was busy, preparing for a gangling of the time war. Meeting his beloved got very hard and somehow a wish. One night…

He was working on the war plot. Locations and number of legions when suddenly a person in a black robe walking in the dark heart of the night came inside his tent. Soren took off his sword, "Who are you? How did you let yourself enter to my place?" He shouted at a stranger who dared to enter with no permission.

The stranger drew off the hood. It was no one but his loving Raya. Soren threw down his sword and hugged her tightly. The time stopped. Drowning in their beloved hug, smelling their odors was quite pleasing. The sky began crying for their deep love.

Raya asked to let her help him on the battlefield, but Soren denied that desire. It could be an unfair one to dangle immortals. Men had to face men. Not a man of honor would cheat.

He was wiping a drop of tear coming out of her eyes and added, "I can't let you involve in this war. I can absolutely set the whole world on fire if something bad happens to you."

Raya hid in his arms again and stayed with him till the sun rose and then she went away. Parthia's army overcame Rimon. By the wisdom and power of their brave intelligent knight.

Cras got killed and dragged many others to the deathbed just because of their thirst for power. They aimed to take god throne and destroy it. But finally, the clank of swords had stopped. The earth fell in peace again. Dust in the air settled back to the ground where it was before. Thus, ears again rested in peace and away from war sound.

Soren returned to capital…"

At the moment I climbed to reach the peak of my anecdote, the head of the pirates interrupted me and said, "That's enough for tonight. Leave the rest of the story for tomorrow."

Everyone started nagging and told their young captain, "We want to know the end of the story, Paya."

I finally found out his name! Paya. It meant "firm and consistent", but it didn't have anything to do with what he did or chose as a job or life path. Having heard the story, he went to his cabin with grief sat in his eyes. It was interesting that he commanded to open everyone's hands before he went to sleep. What was the mystery about the man of oceans which made me so curious?

Mauna told me that I was burning from a high fever for three nights after that night! And Paya, the one cruel pirate that I thought he was had taken me to his room to take care of me. He was sitting beside my bed the whole night. I sometimes could have heard some words of a man with a broken heart, but I could not remember anything else. When I woke up merchants were acting nicely with the pirates. We had lost the first pier and when I revived started arguing with one of the pirates when Macan came to me and said, "Asaya, they're not pirates just stop it; they're saviors of those who caught in the trap of pirates. Marin squads of Parthia, they are."

I surprised that the sky was spinning around my head when Vies during biting an apple, he looked very pleased and confirmed, "He's right. We've made a mistake. Because both ships arrived together, you called him idiot pirate then passed out so I think that was your punishment for judging him, we had to play a part of his show"

"If they're not pirates, why would they keep us as hostages?" I murmured sadly.

"You thought they are pirates and Paya decided to mess up with you a little. He knew you already. How didn't you remember him? He's one of the best knights of the King of Justice. He is a Pro." Rado another merchantman was sitting near the mast itching himself when he answered. I rolled my eyes up and froze to the bone although that frizzing weather was annoying. How idiot I was. The Parthian flag was above my head! An eagle on it carries golden rings in claws. It was following the wind's destination.

I was a little confused, shrugged my shoulders to hide it out of my gone pride! "I haven't seen him before. How should I know him?"

At night, I was standing on the deck staring at the stars again, no clouds to hunt us hopefully. I knew a little about astronomy due to all of my friends who were captains and I traveled with. I knew something about finding orientation by Osla Major Constellation and of course, its legend which has been repeated thousands of years ago, so we were heading to Chial.

I was staring at the stars twinkling magically. I was so drowning in the sky that I didn't understand Paya was standing next to me. Till he said, "Don't you want to narrate the rest of the story? We must say goodbye to each other tomorrow." Then he smiled which shook something in my heart. I was truly embarrassed about judging him. I narrate many stories about morality, but I made fun of this young brave man. I nodded and turned back when I saw everybody on the deck and was amazed because I didn't understand all these people coming and sitting behind me. I was so immersed in my thoughts.

I sat on the same box next to the rack and Paya sat near others on the deck.

"Soren came back to the capital and after visiting the King; he took off his battle armor and went to the ruby fountain the place which they met for the first time. He waited for a while in the cold when his gorgeous beloved came out of between trees. Nature was wearing white clothes, but love is warm. Soren stepped toward her with tears of happiness rolling in his eyes. Raya was crying eagerly. His sweetheart was back; Soren kissed her forehead smoothly and she said, "Your health is a gift from heaven to me."

Soren peered into her eyes and said passionately, "I am willing to give everything I have just to be able to fly in your eyes for eternity."

Time passes, Soren asked Raya to marry him. They went to the world of the fay behind the mountain to the unique dynasty of the immortal ones. Soren was anxious because he couldn't guess how King Alador would react. His anxiety was over as soon as he saw the King who was a very wise and sophisticated man. The King and his sons Leva and Batekin said yes to his proposal and planned the wedding for the first day of spring. So the rhythm of love would fill the whole world for that marriage…"

Asana interrupted her reading as a sound wangled the window.
