New Orleans, 1920s. The world was recovering from the heat war and the jazz age was in full swing. New fashion senses arose from all over the world, including more and more technological advancements. However, on of the many things that was still greatly popular was the radio and the music on it
Bright blue eyes gazed around the city with wonder, heeled boots tapping against the floor as they made it towards one of the most popular radio stations in the city. A young woman hovered outside the doors to gawk at the size of the buildings, long white hair curled and done up into a sweet little updo. She donned some black sailor pants with a sweet white blouse tied at the collar with a knot. A violin case hung from her shoulders for a moment before slipping into the building. It didn't take long for the girl to get settled down, weaving in and out of sleazy men desperate to get their chance at courting the young woman before making it into the recording studio with a deep sigh. She got herself comfortable before breaking her violin free of its velvet tomb, beginning to play a soft but upbeat song for the city to hear through the heart of a radio.
Fingers danced elegantly along the neck of her violin, eyes closed relying on sheer memory for her song. It was one she played often, leaving her with a soft smile throughout her songAlastor had awoken from his slumber, he was a bit late for work but he did not mind he lived In the woods by himself he was not lonely as he always kept himself busy he went hunting alot as he had alot of animal heads (mostly dear) around his mansion like house and had an expensive car he got himself ready for work and began to drive to the building humming "Your never fully dressed without a smile" to himself. Alastor enjoyed his job very much, he loved entertainment and today he was taking about a murder that he did not that he was going to tell hid audience what he had done, but he could not wait to talk about it. He eventually pulled into a parking spot outside the building and made his way inside greeting people as he walked into his private studio. He was going live in five minutes as he was thinking of topics to talk about, he was listening to the violin playing and he smiled to himself softly he enjoyed music very much despite the deranged man he is he still had tasteIt didn't take long for her song to finish, letting out a silent sigh as she packet up and started to leave the room. She was immediately flooded by men trying to talk to her and try to court her.
She was quick to weave out and away from them, stopping just outside the recording lobby with a soft meek sigh "I knew it was going to be bad but this?" She huffed quietlyHe enjoyed the song he decided that it would be nice of him to compliment the player, so he went outside his room and walked to the recording lobby he noticed her. "Why hello there deary, were you the fine lady who played that wonderful song?" He said was a calm smile. The young girl sighed to herself, readjusting her violin case before looking up to alastor with a squeak "oh- hello! Yes. It's my first day here. I'm glad you enjoyed it." She told the host with a smileHe shook her hand gently "I'm Alastor pleassure to be meeting you darling it's quiet a pleassure, you did wonderful. I hope no one has given you any trouble around here." The radio host smiled charmingly. The young girl gasped "oh gosh! I've been listening to your show since me and my brother moved here a few weeks ago! I didn't even recognise your voice without the radio static." She laughed a little "your show is my favourite.""Aw why thank you so much darling! I'm glad it is~" He was flattered at her response but he found her quiet cute, he enjoyed meeting his fans and admires once they didn't throw themselves all over him which most of his female fans did. "And what is your name?"She nodded, grinning brightly "I hope we get to work with eachother around here. No oh- it's comet! Comet faraday. But I'm going by Annabelle Athear on radio and around here." She smiled nervously"That's an adorable name sweetheart, and I hope we get to work with each other as well. Hm, so your new around here? Why don't I treat you to a meal at my house my treat! Just so we can get to know each other a bit better deary. That's if you'd like to join me.? " He tilts his head smiling, putting his hands behind his back."Oh thank you! My brother told me to use annabelle. It's a name that sounds more normal than mine." She sheugged meekly "I can ask my brother. He's a bit strict with what I can and can't do. I'm 19 and this is actually my first job." She laughed out of embarrassment, rubbing the back of her neck with a free hand"Well I love your real name and your stage name it's quiet cute..hehe and I'm happy there's not much of an age difference im 20 and being a radio host was my first job and I love it its quiet entertaining indeed and I can see that your gonna go places my dear with talent like that!" he blushed faintly and grinned happily at her then he looked at the watch in his wrist. "Why look at the time it's time for me to go live why time sure does fly. But anyways I'll give you my adress deary, if your brother allows you to come over. Your welcome any time. I'll see you later have a good day~" He waved at her and walked into his recording studio. The young woman blushed softly and smiled, looking to the man with a bright grin "oh, thank you so much! I'll talk to him and see what he says. Hopefully I'll see you later!" She called, waving as he leftAlastor went live after a few moments. "Good morning New Orleans Alastor here and I'm here to bring you this mornings news and much more! There's a murderer on the lose after a twenty four year old man was murderer he was found in the middle of the woods how sad that is poor fellow~ in other news today is meant to be a beautiful day how entertaining! ~" Alastor smiled. A few hours went by and then his shift came to an end he was thinking about the young lady all day, after he signed off on the radio he left the building and decided to drive back home.Comet left around midday, a limousine bulling up outside the radio station. She got inside, sighing meekly as it drove off, slouching back in the seat with a defeated look. It didn't take long however for her to get home and talk to her brother, starting to run around her room to get ready to have dinner with alastorThe Radio host walked into his house and sighed, he looked at the clock "Good heavens is that the time? I wonder if my lovely lady will show up. Well I shall start to cook anyways!" he smiled to himself, he opened the fridge lucky for him he had some dear left and he put it on the counter chopping it up, pulling out the left over bones in the deers body was very fun for the Radio host he seemed to be getting a bit carried away with it. Once he had finished cutting up the deer removing all the bones and putting some seasoning on it he put it in the oven along with some vegetables. He sang to himself and walked into his room getting himself ready putting on the nicest red suit he hadThe young woman did hair, curling the white mess to perfection and putting on a nice evening tea dress. It was black covered in gemstones and tassels. She put on a headband, sighing a little as she put on makeup. She hated the stuff, finding it distasteful and dishonest. If she left the house without it however she'd be scolded about it. She got up walking outside and getting into the limo as the drivers took her away to alastors home.He fixed his hair making it look neat and tidy he wanted to look presentable for her, he walked downstairs and set the table, he lit some candles trying to make it look romantic. He went outside and picked a few flowers, daisy's, roses and tulips he didn't enjoy flowers that much but he hoped Comet would he strolled back inside and sat on his throne like chair tieing the flowers together with a pink bow.It didn't take long for the limousine to pull up, her stepping out daintily and walking over to the door. She double checked the address with herself, taking a deep sharp breath as she knocked on the door. Alastor heard the knock and smiled and he happiled walked to the door and opened it. "Why hello deary I'm so glad you could make it. Why I must say you look absolutely astonishing tonight!" he said with a grin as he handed her the bouquet of flowers. "I hope you enjoy them come in~"The young woman looked up to him, smiling wearily "oh- thank you so much! I was worrying I had the wrong address for a second." She looked to the flowers and gasped "oh my they're beautiful! Thank you!" she said softly "Your very welcome my dear, beautiful flowers deserves a beautiful lady, how was your journey here? ~" He asked politely looking comet up and down admiring how beautiful she looked. She blushed deeper, following him inside slowly "it was alright. Would be nicer if I didn't have body guards breathing down my neck through." She sighed a little. "You have body guards why isn't that interesting, your very safe here darling! I can assure you that~" He walked into the dining room and pulled out a chair for Comet to sit on smiling softly. "M'lady~"She shook her head "my brother is really over protective. I can't do anything unattended." She huffed a little, giving him a weak smile and sitting down "thank you. Whatever's cooking smells amazing!" she said with excitement. "Hm, you'll be fine here your brother just needs to see that your perfectly capable of taking care of yourself heh, and thank you I'm sure you'll love it! ~" He tilted his head. "Would you like some wine dear? I have any kind of wine, or other drinks if your not too fond of alcohol" he said happily. She nodded "I wish he would see that, but that likely won't happen with him." She sighed meekly before looking up and smiling "do you have any red wine?" She asked. "He'll see it one day, you'll see dear. Why yes I do have red wine! ~" He walked over to his large fridge and opened it taking our a bottle of expensive red whine and poured it into two glasses and gave one to you. "Please tell me more about yourself~" He smiled at her. "Im nearly 20. He's been raising me since I was 5. One day needs to hurry up so I can have some fun." She joked with a bright giggle, taking the glass "well... me and my brother moved here about a month ago. We had to get away from where we lived and he found a really good job at a university." She shrugged meekly "my mother is missing and my father... yeah we don't talk about him." She laughed meekly "what about you? I wanna know more about you too." she asked politely. He grinned and listened to her. "I hope you find your mother.. Where did you live before? You seem like a very interesting lady, and how do you find living here so far?" He tilted his head. "Me? Oh, there's not much to tell my darling. I'm just a simple Radio host. My mother died when I was young.. And my father died when I was a teenager, I was an only child. I found this place and fixed it up and I lived here ever since I was 15. I usually go hunting, it's quiet a fine hobby. That's how I survived while I was still a youngster. " he grinned. "She's been missing for 15 years now. My brother... he things she's gone. Pile o' bones. I think she's still out there waiting." She sighed "I don't know. It was some forests. I think star called it Ireland or something." She shrugged "might've been somewhere else... it was a lot different from here though. We got to go on a boat and everything!" She beamed, taking a sip of her wine and shifting In Her seat "really? That sounds like a dream... I honestly wish my father was dead and I still got to go hunting. My brother doesn't let me anymore." She frowned "you look very different to normal people you know?" She blurted out. "There's always hope dear. I'm sure she'll turn up someday.. Ireland is meant to be a lovely country I've never been anywhere else I've stayed here all my life. I've never been on a boat of plane but id love to some day. My father was a horrible man. I'm happy he's gone.. But I do miss my mother very much. If you want I could take you hunting some time? I'm quiet good at it hehe. " he Crossed his arms." I look different how dear? " He tilted his head. "I wish she would." She sighed a bit listening to him "I'd love to." She grinned, halting after she said that "I uh... I didn't mean that in a rude way. Your skin is darker than others and your eyes... they're a lot more stunning than any others I seen." She smiled embarrassed, a red hue crossing her pale skin. "I shall teach you a few things about hunting. ~" He smiled softly. "It's quiet fine deary heh, Ah yes my mother and father's skin were darker then others too since they weren't actually from here I'm not sure where they were born.. But it was not here.. And yes my eyes well are very unique. ~" He chuckled. She giggled "my dad used to take me out ally the time. He'd teach me to hunt deer with my bare hands. I used to love it. He didn't treat me like a small fragile little girl... but that became his hubris." She sighed and looked up here "it was just something I noticed is all." She smiled softly "I'm not really 'normal' by here's standards... I've never actually been normal full stop. I used to get picked on a lot too. Called all sorts. I'm hoping I can have a new life here." she said in a soft tone of "Why I'm happy you liked to kill dear because that's what we're having for dinner tonight~" He smiled. "What's the point of being normal dear.. Its better to be different rather then being like everyone else. I got picked on too..i did not mind it. If anyone bothers you please tell me.." he sighed. She laughed a bit "as long as my brother doesn't find out i can show you some time. He'd have a heart attack if he knew!" She laughed a little, then sighed softly "I hated it. There was so many things they picked fun at me of, mainly because my parents are different races... they used to call me half cast comet." She huffed a bit "after a while I just... had enough." she said proudly. "Oh he won't find out don't you worry my dear~" He chuckled. "Ah yes.. Kids can be very Cruel..i hated school that's why I left and I don't take stuff like that from anyone at all.. I ignore them." She shook her head a little "I used to fight back but my brother things it's unladylike." She scoffed "that's why I have limos and bodyguards. He doesn't trust me not to put someone in hospital." Comet sighed. "Hm, I suppose it is nice of him in a way. But he can't always protect you.." he sighs and got up. "I say the food is ready stay here and I will get our food~* He smiled and got up from his seat and walked into the kitchen taking the deer out of the oven and cut it up into two portions puts the meat on the middle of the plate and puts the vegetables around it, he was quiet proud of what he had made he walked back into the dining room and placed the plate in front of you. "Enjoy deary~"
