Chapter 3 - The Phone Call

Damn I look cute, Uh girl what's poppin, I stared at myself in the mirror, I looked good. My chocolate skin was on point, hair on point and eyebrows on fleek. I had worn a black tank top with a red and yellow dashiki robe over it, These n****s got nothing on me, my phone beeped it was Lauren calling me. That stupid b***h, now she want to hang out. After all those times I tired to hang out with her she said she was busy, busy with her new rich friends. I grabbed my phone and picked up.

'Yellow "

"Hey Kika I wanted to remind you about my birthday party today at 7," Lauren said. Oh, sh*t I had forgotten about her party, I was planning on spending my whole day watching Netflix. "Yes girl, I'm coming don't worry I will be there at 7, with Li and Jada" I replied back, I didn't know if Jada could come but I knew Li was going there.

"Jaaaaada, Oh she's coming"She seemed very disappointed with hearing that Jada would come.

"Whats wrong with Jada"?

"She's a bit to ghetto"

"Wait what"I answered back without think, damn this b***h really out discriminating, what happened to.

"Oh I am just joking she can come"

"Ok" b***h is what wanted I wanted to add. I ended the call right away, now she thinks she all that. I was really starting to hate Lauren how could she say that sh*t about Lauren the realest person I had ever met. I couldn't hold this in I picked up my phone and called Jada.

She didn't talk long to pick up and I could hear music in the back round.

"Hey Kiki whats poppin" Jada seemed very relaxed as she spoke as the music in the back round went down.

"Well today is Lauren's birthday, and she is having her party at 7. And you're invited."I laughed while telling her

"Really, I thought she didn't like me"

"what where did you that from"

"I could just sense it"

"You telling the truth"

"Yeah b***h"

"Well you, she doesn't like you. She said your our to ghetto"I mock the way Lauren had said on the phone.

"Oh" she had a tone of disappointment, she wasn't expecting to hear it nor did she seem like she wanted to hear.

"yeah, so you comin"

"Um, no I'm busy. buy see u Monday"

"bye"

"bye kikis"

We both hang up at the same time. Those last word felt very empty, nothing deep just empty. Jada and I could talk for hours on end no we only talked for about 30 mins or less. This was one of the shortest phones calls, the most boring.
