Yarichin Bitch was on the move. I had never seen our members so serious. This wasn't a kidnapping. This was a challenge. Regulars of our members greeted us, causing us to stop and smile, but we seemed to be completely ignored as we approached our old clubroom.
Here it was. The Host Club we had heard so much about. I pushed the door open as five figures grouped together greeted us, "Welcome." Flower petals flowed from a fan and tangled around us. Who could only be the president took a step towards us, his long green hair flowing behind him. "I see you've found your way to my humble little club?"
"Laito?" I raised my brow. He was that boy we ran into on our camp trip. He frowns at me.
A dark haired boy with glasses steps up. "Hi, I'm Tero, the Vice President. What can I interest you in today? I assume you eight are new here?" He motions behind him, "We got some of the more popular boys at this school. The famous twins, who were voted the best looking in school in last year's yearbook. Mika, who's quite popular in our club with his lollipop and childlike and feminine appearance. Then there's our newest member, the angel Yacchan."
"Where is he?" I ask, "Yacchan."
Tero forces a smile, "I'm afraid he's not quite... ready yet."
"We still need one more member for Friday's theme," Mika interrupts. "Why don't we take Itome? He's popular and we don't really have a more silent masculine type. He's kinda like Mori." (I just realized Akemi is Tamaki, Shikatani is Kyoya, Itome is Mori, Tamura and Yuri are Hikaru and Kaoru when they dyed their hair pink and blue, and Toono is Haruhi! How did I not notice this??)
"One of our main rules is our members can't be in a relationship. It ruins the whole thing. What if you found out your idol was dating someone? You would be crushed!" Tero exclaims. He's so dramatic about it. "We could take him though," he points to Kashima. Mika isn't too excited about this. He pops the lollipop out of his lips, storming away.
Instead of joining, we stay and watch them at their tables flirting with the students. I glance over at Akemi, "So basically, they're stealing our customers."
Akemi seems confused though, "What could be more valuable than sex for them to pick this place over ours?"
"I don't know," I shrug, "I guess they want a relationship more than sexual pleasure. To feel loved and cared for and noticed. Not everyone is like you. Some people care more about the emotional relationship than the sexual. Even if it's not returned.."
Toono looks over at us, "Still, we need to get Yacchan out of here. I can't let anyone else join a club against their will."
"We'll challenge them," Akemi exclaims, "to a battle of the dicks!"
Laito seems to notice and heads over. "I heard something about a challenge?" I was still a bit surprised that a second year was the president. They had three third years: Tero and the twins after all. "We'll accept and will give Yaguchi to you, but we get to set the terms. This Friday, we'll have a hosting competition and the theme is cosplay."
