(y/n) P.O.V. 1st Person
I was helping Akemi clean out the closet while the others carried out items from the rest of the club room. "I was worried we wouldn't be able to finish by tonight, but the storage room is already pretty clean."
"That's because I clean it every now and then," Akemi replied, packing up the next box.
"Really?" I stared at him in a bit of surprise.
"Well, I am the president, and I don't mind it so much." He gazed over a large book he pulled down from the shelves. I didn't even want to know what it was about. I just kept packing.
"That's the last box, right?" I let out a relieved huff.
"Hm? Yep!" He smiles at me. "Now we just have to take them over." He seemed really chipper, even after so much work.
The boxes had all sorts of things: toys, clothes, and other.. stuff. There were a lot of photo albums too. I picked one up that didn't quite fit in a box. 'Are these from when the photography club was a normal club?' I looked at the date, "Oh! Is this from your first year?!"
Akemi glanced at me with surprised blue eyes. "Yeah."
"Can.. can I look at it?" I pleaded hopefully.
"Sure," he shrugged his shoulders, "It's not like I mind."
I flip through happily, Itome looks about the same but Akemi and Shikatani look so young. "Oh.. you're all so little!"
He blushes a little, "Stop that... we're not much different now than we were then."
"Is this a photo you took with the seniors?" I point to two older males. One closed eyed boy with shoulder length black hair, and another who doesn't seem to enjoy his picture being taken. Compared to the other four, he looks a lot older and the dark haired boy looks a lot more like a girl.
"Yeah, that's Minami-san and Akisawa-san." I trace my finger along the picture surface. "Are you looking at Minami-san? He has worse tendencies than even me," Akemi chuckles.
"Really?" I ask, but he's quiet. I continue to flip through some while Akemi looks around. He could just take the boxes out, he doesn't have to wait for me.
"So, how many of them have confessed to you?" He asks. I choke on the air, caught off guard by his question. I was then reminded of Tamura's sudden confession the day before.
"How can you tell?" I ask.
"It's all over your face," he chuckles, closing the book in his hands.
"Three. Yacchan, Toru, and now Tamura." I mutter, biting my cheek a little.
"Just them?" He asks in a bit of surprise.
"What do you mean?" I raise my brow.
"Nevermind, you must be quite cruel (y/n)-chan." He picks up one of the boxes. "Why don't you try dating one of them? If you don't like it, you can always go back to being friends. Just try things out."
"But I'm not sure if I like any of them." I can barely sort out my feelings in general.
"You don't need to have feelings when you first start dating. You might fall for them along the way!" He's so bright as he says it, but his words hurt. (Also it's a lil aphobic)
"But, isn't that unfair to them? If I can't return their feelings, then I'm just playing with their emotions." I hiss.
"Is it?" Akemi asks, his face shows a hint of surprise. He heads out, but I take another minute to think it over. As I go to put the album on top of a box a photo slips out. I pick it up to find an image of Akemi and Minami-san smiling while they embrace the other.
The door swings open as Tamura comes inside. "Hey, um.." he's blushing, "I came to help you carry some stuff." I quickly slip the photo back between the pages.
"Right." Tamura takes the rest of the boxes and the ones from me. "Ah, I can carry some."
"No need!" He glances around nervously before grabbing the towel around his neck and tossing it to me. "Hold this then!" It's quiet as I walk alongside him. "Are your injuries doing better?"
I smile, remembering how he helped me the day before, "Yeah. Thanks!"
"It was nothing. Though I know how you can pay me back," he winks at me.
