Finished with their first ever fight with a lich, both Rey and Andrew had 80% of their health gone, and Rey's mana was almost completely depleted, luckily their stamina was still high as they didn't have to constantly block or dodge an undead knight's sword, which meant that they could hunt after a mana potion for Rey and a health potion for Andrew.
"What the hell took you so long? I didn't need to get burned like that!", Andrew asked with a furious expression on his face, "Why are you the one to be asking that? This whole bloody fiasco didn't need to be like this if you just attacked sooner.", Rey answered with a question of his own.
the both of them still didn't have enough chemistry, they've been trying to be true friends of course, but in a game as immersive as Lothaedan, this made it harder than a normal mmorpg game where they know that the game world and real world are highly different, but Lothaedan isn't like that the immersion feels real enough that the H.U.D needs to constantly remind them that they are playing a game every thirty minutes to calm down, unless they are fighting in a true boss fight, in which they need to either beat or lose to it to gain the notification.
The two of them still are "mad" at each other, but with the reminder of the system, the two of them made up, and apologized to each other.
[You are playing Lothaedan]
"I-", the two of them said in unison, "Go ahead", Rey quietly spoke.
"I am sorry about that", Andrew apologized.
Rey smiled and said a quote normally used a decade ago, "It's fine, it is just as they said right? 'Don't blame the game, blame the player". Andrew laughed and put his palm to his face, "Hahaha, you said it wrong, it's 'Don't blame the player, blame the game". Hearing him mistake a quote, Rey laughed at his own lack of memory.
Both of them laughed, and made up in less than a minute. Now that both of them got their spunk back, they talked about looking for other liches to fight. Both of them went around and hunted for liches that have recently just respawned, their teamwork continued to improve as they hunted more and more, however the loot they found were normal quality and not that good so Rey was slightly disappointed, but seeing all the levels they've gained in just a few hours made him much more happy.
Both of them were now on the level 80s and the amount of killed Lich's they've killed increased at a great rate, however the speed of their level up slowed more and more as they leveled up. To which both of them started to get bored of hunting, they went back to the city and looked at the loot they've gained, only to find a scepter with it's name imbedded with a purple hue. Both of them nodded and did a handshake, as their hours of grind paid off at the last minute.

"Dude, this is great!", Rey's excitement burst out.
The scepter materialized on Rey's hand. The handle shined with a blue luster and had colorless diamonds adorned to it, and the core had a red gemstone that easily compares to ruby with a grade of AA. It looked like a national treasure to which it was, however this was now something Rey owns who was in the top 15 players in level overall.
"Doesn't it look like a piece of jewelry for a king or something?", Andrew asked while marveling at the scepter.
"It really does right?", Rey exclaimed with joy.
...
Once Andrew sold all of the unneeded loot they gained from fighting undead knights and liches. This was a succesful day for them and Rey left to sleep, whilst Andrew went back to dueling with other knights.

Josh Riley
Josh had used up his hunting time experimenting with different incantations and after a laugh in once in a while from gods was able to find an "efficient" incantation, "Gods give me your temporary blessings, as a monster wishes to behead me. Please give me strength to rain down your holy grace.", it sounds like a joke to call it efficient, however the magic power increase is about 10% and no gods laughed, so Josh thought it was a step at the right direction.
Satisfied with his "growth" he exited from the game and slept normally this time, needing not to rely on the fact that the game is a lucid dream in the sense that they knew that it wasn't irl, or a different world that could only be entered whilst sleeping.
