Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Josh was in a village with no players apart from him so he naturally thought that it was designed so that only high level players can go in, and if a low level player got in nobody would give him a quest as he isn't 'strong' enough. Lucky for Josh this wasn't the case as he got a quest that rewards him with a skill.

"Yes" Josh said as the HUD displayed ,

[Quest accepted]

It was the afternoon and the old man started walking to the forest with Josh trailing behind him.

' Is this a hunting quest? If that's the case then I hope the things we are hunting are easy' was what Josh was thinking.

The old man looked at Josh and saw his nervous expression and reassured him "We will not be hunting we are going to set up traps"

The uneasy expression in Josh's face went bright. In the forest Josh was walking behind the old man and suddenly heard splashing water. Josh's face went uneasy again, he felt wierd as a few moments ago he only heard the rustling of the leaves they were walking through and suddenly heard the sound of running water clearly.

Josh's ears didn't play a trick on him as he saw a river flowing from a distant waterfall.

The old man started taking sticks out of thin air and said "Help me set the traps"

The traps were put on the shallow side of the river where high tides could reach and Josh started understanding why the traps were set up in the shallow area ' The traps work by making a sorrounding circle of sticks and, when high tides come some of the fish would be trapped with the low tides at dawn. But why won't they just hunt ? They're are many people and even five people could successfully hunt deer ' But thought why they would eat fish by trapping them when they could eat more by hunting.

"Why can't we just hunt?" Josh asked

"Can we hunt with only the two of us" The old man asked back

' What a waste of brain power. I thought that they didn't hunt, I can't judge them when I haven't even played 1 in-game day ' Josh thought to himself that he looked at himself as an overexcited kid solving a problem using no logical evidence.

Josh started helping. He put sticks in a 40 cm diameter, he didn't know about the average length of large freshwater fish were more than 40 cm so he thought it was a big enough size. The old man was downstream so he couldn't say about the size of the traps.

"It's getting dark now, we'll be heading back to the village"

'It's past sunset? Did I spend that much time sticking sticks on the easily stick able ground'

Josh thought to himself as he followed behind the old man
