We didn't walk that long and finally arrived at the place he wanted to show me.
"Wow..." I couldn't help but gasp at what I'm seeing.
The cavern has a small opening at the ceiling where light comes through, giving an ethereal feel to the surrounding.
In front of me was crystal-clear water that shone like blue diamonds. As if there are literal gemstones on it that set the whole lake aglow. Which, I bet, would look incredibly breathtaking at night.
It's like we were suddenly transported to another realm.
"It's so beautiful!"
I have been here for a long time but this is the first time that I have seen an underground lake-- and such a lovely one at that!
"This is my secret place," he said beside me, "It is connected to the biggest river in the country."
