While waiting for Shane, I heard a familiar voice coming from their side. So, I can't help myself looking at them.
"Shanee, we're lucky since you're the canteener here. Let me get one Nova, I'm gonna pay you later." Rafael said. I knew it, he's here. And it looks like he wants to annoy them.
"Shane, me too. I'll pay you later." Jack said, Rafael's friend. If I knew they will not pay that.
"Wait, return it first I'm still not finished counting that," Shane said. I bet she's scared right now. We both know how hard-headed they are.
"Just tell me that we buy them," Jack said while opening the snack.
"Buy? Then pay that first." One of Shane's friends said. I honestly, didn't know her. Maybe, she's from the other class.
"Are you deaf? Didn't we say that we'll pay you later?" Rafael raising his voice. What the! Are they serious?
"Then, get your snacks when you have money to pay." Shane's friend said again.
"Why are you even meddling? Are you the one that we're talking to?" Jack said while eating his snack. Oh! They are really hungry huh?
"I said, I'm not finish counting these snacks then you're already eating it." Shane said, that I feel she will cry any moment.
"We're hungry." Rafael simply said. Haist, what's with his attitude? I don't want to meddle with them but I can't tolerate Rafael being like that."
"Rafael!" I said.
"A-Alexa?" Rafael said, yes! He and CJ decided to call me Alexa instead of Alex because they said it doesn't suit me.
"Wendi, what are you doing here?" Jack said with an exciting voice. Looks like, he misses me. I miss him too tho, it's been a while since we bond.
"Should I be the one asking that? What are you doing here?"
"Eating?"
"It's not what I witness a while ago."
"W-what? witness what?"
"Damon's right, what are you talking about? We're good boys! Right girls?" Jack said while glaring at them, he's scaring them. The girls nodded, I almost laugh but I stop my self since Rafael and Jack are the ones are wrong here.
"Jack, stop that! Don't fool me. I'm already here before you start teasing them."
"We're really hungry Wendi."
"Then pay them first, you have guts to eat but you can't pay? Really Rafael and Jack?"
"But I don't have my wallet with me."
"Then you shouldn't eat or open those. Didn't they say that Shane didn't even finish counting those? Hard-headed are we?"
"Sorry, Alexa.", "Sorry, Wendi." They both said. I can't take being mad at them. But I remember that Jack opens one of the snacks. So they need to pay it, but they didn't have their wallet with them.
I get my wallet and pay for the snacks.
"Shane, I'm gonna pay those. Sorry on their behalf." She gets my money and smiles at me, while whispering thank you to me. I smiled at her and face the two hard-headed.
"Go upstairs, If you're hungry don't bother anyone. Go to John we have prepared lunchbox."
"Yes, you are indeed an angel Wendi," Jack said and run to go to our room.
"I'm sorry Alexa for being hard-headed. I'm not gonna go it again."
"Fine, promise me okay?"
"I promise."
"Well then, go to John. But don't forget to left something for me to it."
"Aye! Aye! Thank you, Alexa, I'll get going before Jack eat them all." He said, but before leaving he left kisses on my forehead. Habits die hard eh?
"How can you do that Wendi? How can they listen to you?" One of Shane's friends. Oh! Did they know me?
"Maybe, they're scared because I might tell it to their moms." We all laughed at what I said.
"But thanks for that Wendi, if you didn't scold them. Maybe, until now I'm still begging them to pay."
"Don't beg. Just tell them to VJ."
"As if VJ can stop them."
"True, they are so stubborn as hell." Her friends agreed to her.
I let them talk and Go to my stall. In the meantime, Shane finishes her part and go to our stall. Her friends are all gone too, maybe they go back to their rooms.
Hours have passed, lunch break also passed. I didn't know that they are so many people still buy snacks. I didn't have time to seat for an hour or two because of the student's buying.
But after that, we're so relieved that Lunch is done. VJ said we should eat, but we can't leave the stalls we must eat here. So, it means I can't eat because food is upstairs I don't want to spend my money.
I surrender thinking that I'm having any food this afternoon. Diet are we? Haha haha, I decided to sleep and rest my head on the table.
"What are you doing? Do you even have a break?" Someone said. Maybe, Shane's talking to someone.
"Alexa!" I think that someone called me. Wait, Alexa? Only two people in our school have to call me that. I raise my head to see who's talking to me.
"John!" Just like I thought if it's not him, it's Rafael.
He got my lunchbox and looks so bored.
"I thought I'll be not eating lunch today. I'm so hungry." I said to him while pouting. He just flicked my forehead.
"You're hungry yet you even ignored me."
"I thought it's Shane you talking to."
"Shane? Who the hell is that?"
"Shh, you're so bad. She's our classmate!" I look around to see if Shane hears what he says.
"Thank god, she's not here."
"Why do I need to know her?"
"Aish, Enough. Let's not talk about her."
"Yeah start eating and be quiet."
"How about you?"
"I'm done eating with Raf and Jack."
"Ok." After I said that I start eating and ignored him. While fixing my lunchbox. Shane arrived with her food.
"Shane let's eat and share. Can we?"
"Yeah." She said and I decided to go to her but I haven't even stand up yet when John holds my arms.
"What?" I ask him.
"Let her come to you. Don't leave here."
"W-what?" Before I could complain. I hear Shane say,
"It's okay Wendi. I'll go there." She shyly said. And I glared at John and he just shrugged. They're both pain in my ass.
While eating there's a student who wants to buy. But since we're both eating I nudge John to be the one who approaches the student.
"Lava cake and Choco tops." The student says while looking at John. It looks like there's another victim of John's face huh?
"How much is that?" John ask. I can't talk because my mouth is full. So, I look at Shane.
"Lava cake is 8 pesos and Chocotops is 9 pesos," Shane said.
John didn't even say to the customer and just give the biscuits and the change.
After that John decided to sit beside me and lean to my shoulder. Maybe, he's gonna sleep again?
"What are you doing? I'm eating."
"But I want to sleep." He's baby talking.
"Then lean on the table, I'm eating can't you see?"
"Fine. Tsk." He said and sneer at me. He's being a big baby right now.
I ignored him and finish my food. After that, we start clean and put things back. We decided to pack up and list down the remaining products that we sell. So we can go back or go home early since no one will buy at this time.
After submitting our sales to VJ. We decided to part ways.
"Wendi! Go ahead first, I need to go to the library to check some stuff."
"Alright, see you then."
After that, I got to sleeping John and wake him up.
"John Let's go to our room." He nodded and picked up the lunchbox then he put his arms on my shoulders and we go to our room.
