Chapter 2 - First Hunt

Now let's test my Blessed Weaponry skill before I test the other. I already use my observation and Inventory skills. I already experience the effect of Gamer mind, and I don't want to test the Gamer's body ability by taking a debuff.

I place down the Crossbow bolts on top of the table and use my Blessed Weaponry skill to give the bolt a holy effect because I know that the instant dungeon will spawn a zombie.

"Bless! Holy Attribute!"

After saying that, one of the bolts shines a little for a few seconds. As I pick up the bolts and use my Observe skill.

*Holy Crossbow Bolt*

*An ordinary crossbow bolt blessed with Holy attribute*

*Damage: 25 (+ 100% damage if the target is unholy)*

*Effect: If the target is an unholy creature, there is a 20% chance give them holy fire effect (2 Damage per second for one minute)*

So I can deal 50 damage to a Zombie from the bolt alone and have a 20% chance to deal 120 damage in a minute. I guess that's acceptable for now. I then begin to bless four more bolts with holy attributes while the last two bolts are blessed with Fire attributes.

*Fire Crossbow Bolt*

*An ordinary crossbow bolt blessed with Fire Attribute*

*Damage: 30*

*Effect: Burn the target for one minute, causing one damage per seconds*

Satisfied with the result, I take out my hunting knife, preparing to bless it. However, before I bless the knife, I look at my status.

~Name: Homura Ryobe~

~Job: None~

~Level: 1 (0/10000)

~HP: 50/50~

~MP: 150/500~

~STR: 4~

~VIT: 5~

~INT: 50~

~LCK: 10~

150 MP left means I use fifty MP every I use Blessed Weaponry. With that in mind, I use my skill to bless the hunting knife in my hand.

*Fire Hunting Knife*

*Knife used for hunting purposes. It can be used for self-defense. Blessed with a Fire attribute.*

*Damage: 15+(100% of STR)*

*Effect: Burn the target for one minute, causing one damage per second*

The reason why I choose the Fire attribute instead of Holy is that I want to use this knife for another enemy and not only for an unholy enemy. Lastly, the Compound Crossbow. I use the last bit of my MP and bless the Crossbow with Fire attribute.

*Fire Compound Crossbow*

*Modern Crossbow used for hunting animals. Blessed with Fire Attribute*

*Damage: 25+(100% of bolts damage)*

*Effect: Give the bolts fire attributes that cause one damage per second for one minute*

I don't think the fire effect can be stacked, but if I use my holy bolts, I can do more damage to my enemy.

As my preparation is complete, I look at the clock and see the time already at 8 PM. It Looks like I won't do a dungeon run this day as not only is my MP low and almost empty, I also want this dungeon run to be my morning routine, not evening routine.

Before I go to sleep, I plan to do a simple workout.

~Thirty Minutes Later~

"Haaaa Haaaa"

That was rough, and I only did a simple workout.

Jogging around in the backyard for fifteen minutes.

Bodyweight squat ten times.

Push up ten times.

Jumping jack twenty times.

I can feel my body ready to collapse because of exhaustion. I slowly walk toward the bathroom and take a bath before walking to my bedroom and immediately sleeping. I hear that you cannot sleep after doing a workout, but I don't care as I know that I will be okay because I have a Gamer body.

~The next day~

As I open my eyes, I take my phone from the table and see the time.

"5 AM. Does the Gamer body always wake me at 5 AM?"

Eh, forget it.

"Status"

~Name: Homura Ryobe~

~Job: None~

~Level: 1 (0/10000)

~HP: 60/60~

~MP: 500/500~

~STR: 5~

~VIT: 6~

~INT: 50~

~LCK: 10~

Wait… There is something different from my status windows. My STR increased from four to five, and my VIT increased from five to six.

Is it from my workout last night? Is the attribute point so easy to get, or is it because of my low attribute point? I need to check this thing out later.

"Create ID: Zombie!"

After saying that, the world begins to change, and as I look outside my house, I can see the sky change into blood red. In front of my house, I can see many zombies roaming around the street.

Seeing that the instant dungeon is working, I take my weapon out of my inventory and get ready to fight them.

I look at one of the zombies through the window and use my observation skill.

"Observe"

~Zombie (Lvl 1)~

~HP: 200/200~

~MP: 0/0~

~STR: 5~

~VIT: 20~

~INT: 0~

~LCK: 0~

A slow-moving zombie but have more HP than me. I decide that this zombie will be my prey as it is an alone zombie that is wandering in front of my house. I open up my window slowly and aim for the head.

"Steady… Steady… Shoot"

As I pulled the trigger, my bolt hit the head of the zombie.

*Critical Hit*

*Damage x2*

I look at the zombie body catch on fire before suddenly it drops on the ground and begins to dissolve into a mote of light, leaving nothing but my bolts on the ground.

*DING*

*Congratulations! You slay a zombie*

*+1 EXP and 10 TP (Trade Point)*

What? Only one point? What the hell is this rigged system? Do I need to slay 9.999 more zombies to reach level 2? What?

….

Damn it, system! How can you be so stingy in giving me EXP?!?

Haaaaa…

I release a defeated sigh before slowly walking to my front yard and picking up my bolt. It looks like I cannot power grind my way out into an OP character in a single day.

Anyway, I can kill one zombie with a single bolt. From my calculation, the attack the zombie take should be 70 damage per shot, but because of the critical hit, it changes into a 140 damage hit, and if my eyes are correct, the zombie gains an effect of holy fire and burns from my bolts and compound crossbow. So the total damage it causes is around 320 if I leave the zombie burned for a minute. I only need one bolt per zombie and wait for one minute for the burning effect to do its job. If I'm lucky, I only need to wait for half a minute.

With that in mind, I walk inside my house once again and search for another easy target.

~Three hours later~

Currently, I sit down on the bed of my house and look at my status.

~Name: Homura Ryobe~

~Job: None~

~Level: 1 (127/10000)

~HP: 40/60~

~MP: 500/500~

~STR: 5~

~VIT: 6~

~INT: 50~

~LCK: 10~

There is nothing much change in my status except my EXP and HP. I already slay 120 zombies in the span of three hours, and the reason my HP got down is that I did not see a zombie when I went out to pick up my bolts, and I must say that the zombie bite hurt like hell. If not for Gamer Mind, I would already be screaming my heart out in pain and attracting more zombies into my house.

I also get something from shooting that many zombies using my crossbow.

*Archery (Passive) (Level 1: 54/100)*

*Skills that show you how much you love using Bow or Crossbow. Bonus 5% of damage to all Bow and Crossbow attack*

I got this skill after I killed a hundred zombies using my crossbow. The EXP needed for the level up also not as big as Blessed Weaponry or my level. Unlike Blessed Weaponry, where I get ten EXP per successful blessing, the archery skill only gets one EXP per enemy hit, but it will double the amount if I hit headshot.

Right now, I'm browsing the shop for something to eat because I forget that I still need to eat if I want to survive for two days in this place. While this body demands the fanciest food in the shop, the price for a single meal is too high for the current me. If the meal gives me some buff or something, then I will buy it, but every food in the shop is normal food without any buff for me.

After thinking for a minute, I decided to buy a box filled with MRE supply. While the taste is not as good as restaurant food, it will fill my belly. One box filled with a dozen MRE cost me 100 TP making my point decrease to 1170 from 1270. I also buy ten gallons of drinking water for ten TP.

After buying my food, I begin to prepare my lunch.

~Ten minutes later~

With all the food gone and my body feel refreshed, I begin to hunt another zombie.
