His loud exclamation draws increased chatter from the crowd, as they grow more interested in this bit of gossip than the actual match going on in the arena.

I utter, unsure where to even begin with that statement.
I can count the amount of encounters I've had with members of the opposite gender on one hand, and I'm pretty sure there is no interaction involving a girl who would agree to be this idiot's girlfriend.
"I thought I would hear you out since it seemed interesting, but you just came to spout bullshit, didn't you?"
"What?! Did you really forget beating me up in front of my girlfriend, and then stealing her away?! You even took some money from me!"
