Chapter 31 - And So, Our Goal Is World Domination

"My lord, we await your instructions," Venir starts, kneeling before me with the other generals.

"What is on your mind, my lord?" Dionysius asks, awaiting my orders.

I had Agamemnon gather them all here as soon as Mercury returned because I wanted to tell them about my plans of dominating the universe, but honestly I don't even know where to start. Should I tell them about my old life? Or my death? Or about how it was me making a deal with NET that brought us here? Maybe those are a bit too much information. I guess I'll just have to settle with a summary.

"Firstly, before that," I start, lifting my head up to look at all of them kneeled before me, as I stay seated on the throne. "I have to commend Mercury. You did a good job cleaning up that organization for me. Though, I'd like to ask, how did you find them so quickly with little information?"

"Thank you my lord," Mercury bows. "It wasn't too difficult. It seems that organization has attempted numerous raids on Aeolia, because I sensed a lot of dark mana in the area as soon as I descended. All I did was follow the trail and it lead me to a small hideout the dark mages gathered. After questioning them thoroughly, I was able to get the location of their headquarters. It wasn't too much of a task my lord, though I failed to claim the head of their leader. Forgive me."

"That's fine. I have a feeling we'll run into them again. You can bring me his head then." I say, resting my chin on my hand.

"Yes, my lord."

"Now then. This question is for all of you. We have been brought to an unfamiliar place with free will and no clue on why that is so. What do you think we should do now?"

They all stare at me with blank faces before formulating opinions of their own. They look amongst themselves before turning back to me.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say we will do whatever it is our lord wishes," Dionysius voices, on behalf of most of the other generals.

"All of you?" I ask, tipping my head to the side as I turn to glance at the one general at the back who seems to have an opinion of his own. "You look like you have something different to say, Amaymon."

Amaymon flinches at my words a bit before grinning mischievously, and says, "Forgive me master, I too am satisfied with doing whatever it is you please."

As if. The king of vampires, Amaymon is a total hedonistic sadist. Though that statement is half true as he is extremely loyal and wishes for nothing more than my desires, but he amongst most other generals in particular, has overwhelmingly bigger ambitions when it suits his tastes. There's no way he doesn't seek something he deems interesting in this new place that hasn't been explored yet.

"Speak your mind Amaymon," I state coldly, not interested in his pretense.

The grin on his face spreads wider as he speaks, "Master. This humble servant of yours merely thinks it would be increasingly wonderful to seek pleasure in the total portrayal of power and strength over lesser beings. As master is he who stands tall above all else, I simply thought you may find it interesting to hold that which you desire within the palm of your hand."

What a glib tongued poet. Saying such a sadistic thing with false humility and a courteous pose. Truly an actor for the ages. It would've been less stressful if he had just said he wanted to conquer everything he sees. Geez. Out of everyone here, I shudder at the thought that we are alike in more than a few ways.

"How dare you?!" Brontes rebukes, glaring at Amaymon with intensity.

"There is really no beauty in your pretense Amaymon," Orion scoffs.

"You really are good for nothing but pleasure and thrill," Castor remarks with a sigh.

"Like our lord would-"

Actually...

"However not common," I begin, cutting Dionysius off. "I agree with Amaymon completely."

"Huh?!" They all turn to look at me with disbelief and confusion.

Entwining my fingers I continue, "Brought to this unfamiliar place with untouched resources and new things at every turn, I have but a singular goal- complete and utter global domination. I will not be satisfied until everything within my sights is under my command. I must be number one. Doesn't matter where I am, or who I am, I must stand atop everything. That is my desire. Now then, this is optional. Who amongst you, my trusted subordinates, will aid me in my conquest?"

With the silence that fills the room, their eyes light up with intrigue and amazement. Finally, Damocles kneeling to my far left breaks the silence.

"I will follow you anywhere, my lord."

Amaymon and Orion speak as well.

"It is always pleasurable being by my lord's side. I wouldn't turn away from such an opportunity."

"My lord's beauty is incomparable. Following you is my entire existence."

Soon, all my generals begin to sing me praises as they agree to be eternally by my side.

"My lord, our master's goal is our goal as well. We will follow you to the end." Agamemnon says, smiling devilishly.

It looks like I've finally been able to light a fire in him. He's not even trying to hide his excitement.

"Then my lord," Dionysius speaks, thrill evident in her eyes. "How shall we start in aiding your conquest?"

"...Mm," I hum, accessing Erandelle's schematics, and pulling up the view of the area around the entrance to the tunnel. "It seems our next step has arrived. Prepare yourselves. We have guests to entertain."

All 10 generals, and Damocles turn towards the vague direction of the tunnel at once. It looks like they've sensed it too.

I turn to the screen and watch the people that gathered at the entrance of the tunnel leading into Aeolia. This is more than expected. I didn't account for the knights hiring adventurers as mercenaries, they number about 20. Should be fine either way, but still, aren't they too early? It hasn't even been a day since I moved Aeolia here.

Ah! The individuals at the back of the group. They look to be mages from the tower. If they're tower mages then that explains why they got here so fast. With magic, getting here within the hour would've been no hard task. It looks like the group is made up of six knights from the order, two of which are magic knights, four mages, and ten adventurers. And the adventurers themselves look to be gold class and above, but none exceed Platinum class. Tsk! What a let down. But the knights look fairly strong though, and so do the mages. Gathering just twenty people here, I feel as though the tower and the order are greatly underestimating me here. Well, I'll just have to change their views.

"Brontes, have your troops entertain them first. If they manage to get past Orion's archers, and a few seraphim, bring them to me."

"Understood." He answers.

"Oh but," I add, glancing at the group again, as they begin to slowly enter the tunnel. "Twenty is a crowd. Reduce them to half if their numbers are still as much before bringing them here."

Brontes grins and nods as he responds. "Yes, my lord."
