Like hell I do. A quiet simple life? I abhor people who have all the power and talent in the world yet refuse to use it, opting instead for a simple life. Stories like that are boring, unrealistic and inefficient.
My creed is absolute monopoly. If I am to engage in anything, I will not rest until I am the absolute best at it. A quiet simple life is the exact opposite of everything I've ever done. A quiet simple life is for losers, failures, and cowards.
However, aristocrats and pushovers like these guys tend to sympathize and relate to the plight of someone who wishes to live an ordinary life since they probably wish that for themselves as well.
That's plebian mentality, but I can't say I don't understand somewhat. Once upon a time, I too wished for the same thing, so I can't completely refute its appeal, and I doubt these guys can either.
