Graven's eyes widened in alarm. "W-what are you planning, Laura?" he asked, bothered by her statement.
Laura breathed deeply. "I want to see Luke when he awakened. Then after that, I'll go somewhere so that you and your brother can continue where you left off. I don't want to be the cause of your rift with your brother," she said.
Graven shook his head. "No! You don't have to go away. We already agreed upon it. You and my brother can stay in Bay Meadow and raise a family peacefully. I won't get in the way of your relationship with him. The moment he's back, you will no longer see me. I won't be visiting Bay Meadow anymore... unless... it's a matter between life and death," he said.
Laura was silent.
Graven was shaking his head vigorously. "Laura, I don't want to be the cause of my brother's pain. I also don't want you to be sad. You and my brother deserved a happy ending," he said, trying to convince her not to leave his brother.
She looked at him. "B-but how about you?"
