Over the course of my trip to the Earth Kingdom… I had come to a definite conclusion, I would not try and find the remaining elementals, for a long and painful list of very detailed of reasons.
One, besides La and Tui, so far almost every spirit I have encountered has been an asshole on some sort of level. Cheshire being the exception.
On Vaatu's case, I know wants to use me, which is pretty obvious and something he hasn't tried to hide, so with his upfront honesty about using me, I can tolerate his behavior because I want to use him too, our relationship is somewhat symbiotic… to say something.
That same principle applied with La and Tui, they taught me how to bend… and I helped them in their time of need, by killing zhao.
But besides them… every other spirit had been a nightmare, from the Mother of all plastic surgery to Kindred, every single one of them was an asshole.
And Ra… well, he filled my quota of shit I can take.
Ra, while wise and very powerful, taught me close to nothing, yes I did learn about the spiritual principles of fire bending, but I'm pretty sure there are less painful ways to do so… I mean, did he have to beat me up every day… I swear if he wasn't the spirit of the sun….
Anywho… after that last wake up call, with the spirits… I wanted nothing to do with the elementals… or any other spirit, unless it was absolutely necessary…
So, in short… I had to learn how to bend the elements my own way, and I know I have the option of finding a teacher… but fuck that, because if there was one thing I learned from Ra, was that I had to create my own form to bend all elements.
The draconic asshole was right… switching between styles would deliberately put me in a bad spot, giving the enemy time to attack in the interval it takes me to move from one element to the other.
Maybe I could create some kind of mixed martial form for them all.
"Vaatu will be livid," I chuckled, while wondering why had Vaatu gone into hibernation without even telling me about it.
Perhaps merged spirits had to do this every now and then, the show never specified… so I guess everything is possible, I am after all, in a very grey area when it comes to being the… or I should rather say A Avatar.
"Sir, the next stop in eight hours… in the Seedy Merchant Pier," The guy I had paid to keep me updated said, as he entered my private cabin I had paid with some money I had stolen from some thieves, which by the rules of the gods makes it legal.
"Thanks," I nodded and as the guy left my room, an epiphany came to me…. while it was true I had no need for the elementals to teach me bending, I did need a spirit for something else, which kinda contradicted my entire previous resolution, but sometimes, it's best to sacrifice in order to win.
This spirit was one I knew for a fact had the knowledge I desired to get the power I needed..
Wan Shin Tong, and his library.
All human and spiritual knowledge in a single place for me to exploit.
It was just what I needed, within the spirit library I would have access to the knowledge I required to master all the elements.
And if Zhao was permitted to enter, heck I had a guaranteed pass to the damn library.
"Well, it seems I have to deal with one more spirit," I chuckled, maybe it wasn't what I had originally intended to do, but it would work just fine.

The next I woke up to the one of the crew members of the ship, meaning I had arrived.
Like usual, I ordered one of the locals to find me a cart, and pays a hefty sum, I embarked to the desert. Where I would meet my last spiritual stop.
According to guy I had hired to take me to the desert, it would take us a month and a half to get there.
In the meantime, I would use this time to train my fire and water bending in a small scale using only my mind to bend the energy around me.
It would help me learn control, something I lacked with fire control, and focus, something I needed for both, and it would give me something to do along the way.

[Azula POV]
Someone had killed more than a dozen soldiers in one of the no important barracks in the northeast side of the outskirts of the Fire Islands.
The reports said his bending… his raw power had no equal, that a single punch of his fire brought the battalion to their knees.
Interesting, not impressive, but interesting, anyone with decent skill could beat a battalion of useless people, so perhaps this criminal worthy of being captured… tortured, and then trained to be a loyal dog.
Loyal to me.
The strangers name on his registration was Sinbad, a name for my target.
"Girls get ready, we have a dog to capture… and my sources are pointing he is going to the earth kingdom," I ordered Mai and Ty Lee.
"Oh, is this man Akira?!" Ty Lee giggled doing a cartwheel, landing right beside me.
"No, this man is a fire bender, Akira is off the grid for now," I sighed.
"So, we are hunting someone else besides your brother and uncle, joy…" Mai said in her usual emotionless tone.
"Reports say he has quite the explosive talent… so I figured we could train him to obey…" I smiled at them, "Like I did with you two,"
Mai looked away in fear, good… while Ty Le, well… kept being Ty Lee.
"Ohhhh that means we are adding a boy to the group!" Ty Lee giggled in excitement, "Yeih!"
I knew she feared me, yet she never showed that outright… was she brave or stupid, perhaps both, that question eluded me sometimes, maybe I had to try a bit harder.
