Most of us occupied the seats at the back of the room. Some of the men preferred to stand. Drew had Heather in his arms. Courtney was seated beside me. Our fingers were laced together. The room was quiet. Too quiet.
Josh's groan pierced through the silence. He turned and opened his eyes. He surveyed the room before he stood.
Mother snapped her fingers and a robe appeared on the ground beside him. He muttered a thanks and put it on. He wasn't as upset as he had been half an hour ago. He sat in the middle of the cage and wrapped his arms around his propped legs.
"We all want to know what's going on," Jake spoke. "We can't have people on our team going rogue."
Josh's eyes flickered to Courtney, Heather, Colin, and Kyle. "There's nothing to talk about." He pointed at Courtney's father's advisor. "They killed my pack and I'm going to rip his heart out."
Courtney's brow furrowed and her gaze flashed to her father's. "Oh, my god."
