A massive headache woke me from my slumber. I peeked through an eye, trying not to agitate the ache any more than it needed to. There was no way possible to move through this much pain much less an added dosage. The agony would be too great. Nevertheless, the cool of the hard surface my face was on kept every other body pain at bay.
Without moving a muscle, my eyes surveyed the surroundings. There wasn't much light, so everything else was easier to handle. Aunt Lucile was the first to come in sight. The silver bars that separated us shimmered in the dim light of the room.
Bloody hell, she locked me in a power hindering cell. Why? I wasn't here to harm anyone.
I tried to swallow but my mouth was without saliva. Another pain sliced down my throat. It was as if someone had thrown a bag of sand down my throat, and rubbed it with a grater. The cool from the concrete floor was the only thing that kept me conscious.
'What the hell did they do to you?'
