Wolfie was right. I was Pathetic. Yet, it was beyond my control. My past lover, the woman who had my heart, had me spellbound and made me kill my parents. So, forgive me if it took me several centuries for me to get my footing. Now, I was living in a corrupt world. I couldn't go back to Redwood because Scarlet's mother hates my guts. My visitation rights to the only family I had left were revoked. This was all because of her. My life was hell. Therefore, I needed time to commit to any other woman again. Victoria and every other mundane female would have to understand.
"Oh," Victoria released a laugh tainted with sadness. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
I nodded with a smile. "Yeah."
