I leaned on the nearest wall close to the males. Kyle passed around two pieces of papers to Amy and Sabrina. As soon as they received the pages, they surveyed them. Everyone remained silent, waiting for the order.
Kyle eyed all of us. The tension emitting from his pores was thick enough to be pierced with a knife. Our heartbeats were loud enough to be heard by a mundane.
"I will be saying this for the last time." Kyle paused. Everyone cleared their eardrums to be able to file the warning. "I've been here before. The last time it didn't go in my favor. I won't make the same mistakes twice. We are going to the High Council building today. As usual, they will be having a regular meeting within the next hour."
