I managed to catch up to Kyle as he was about to pull the door of a small room. He turned the knob and stepped aside with the door open. "Ladies first."
I arched a brow and crossed my arms across my chest. "Right. That's really nice of you but I don't want to be blindsided anymore than I already am. So, by all means, you first."
Something flickered in his grey eyes but vanished within seconds. The muscles in his jaw ticked. "Fine."
He didn't waste much time entering the room, and I followed behind him. The first thing to greet us was a long leather couch. Its sister sat opposite him. Within their midst was a large white piano that sat comfortably in the middle of the room. The other few spaces around them were filled with statues of angels. A soft glow from the chandelier overhead lit the room, creating a fairytale scene.
