"Brianna, I know you're in there. Just open the door."
Two months ago, I would have pushed Kyle out onto the balcony, and rushed to let Brian in. It was a time when my whole life felt like it was going downhill. I couldn't use my witch powers. I had to hide from my parents. I couldn't have Kyle. Everything spiraled out of control. It was a time when I needed Brian by my side. Now, I had no interest in talking to Brian.
Yes, I was a hypocrite, but it didn't matter to me.
The knocking didn't cease. However, it came every few seconds. One knock. Two knocks. One knock. Then, three.
"Brianna?" Brian's sigh was loud enough to travel through the door. "I'm sorry. I tried. I really did. When all my efforts were of no use, I pushed you away. I thought it was to protect you and Amy. Instead, I fucked it all up."
