I sighed and went back to cleaning up the mess Adam made. "My father has a jet, I could ask him. Ah, I'll ask around for the skydiving thing which I do not approve of."
He turned on his back and propped his hands behind his head. "Sure, you don't. So, I was thinking we could go to New York City or maybe Paris. Somewhere romantic." He hummed then shook his head. "Nah, forget that. I would die happy on a beach with the sun in my face. Damn, California will do."
I rolled my eyes and ignored him. His planning was a way to keep his mind off dying, but every time he said the word 'die' my heart fluttered. Being a vampire never allowed me the luxury of such actions, and I didn't want to lose him either.
