I blew out my cheeks and leaned back in my chair. "All I ask is that you put a pause on any sexual relationship between the two of you. Just until this mess called Scarlet is cleaned up."
Amy wrapped her arms around herself. "And what happens after Scarlet is taken care of? I'm sure my father will still be the Alpha. What then? Do we have to wait until you take the throne? Something you never plan on doing?"
It was then I realized why Amy's loyalty had shifted to Brianna. She was certain Brianna had her back. In her head, I was going to leave her in this mess. Maybe I was. But, it didn't give her the right to act foolishly. She was playing with fire. Everyone knew once they did, they could get burned.
