Miranna and I hated each other. The last two times we spoke, she left with the same warning: stay away from her daughter. The fact she saw us kissing was laughable. This meant war. At any other time, I would have been up for it. Come on, Miranna made my life a living hell. She took everything from me, then blamed it on me. Still, getting rid of Scarlet should be our main focus. I hoped Miranna thought so too.
"What's going on?" Jones, Brianna's father, asked, walking up to his wife.
I swallowed. Brianna stepped away from me. Josh and Courtney shared a knowing glance.
Miranna chose to remain silent and walked away. Deep down I knew this was just the beginning. Her actions meant until next time.
Jones still stood, staring at Brianna and me for answers. "What?"
No one answered. Courtney left after Miranna's tail and Josh stayed with Jones. Griffiths must have heard the excess noise and came up to Brianna and I. Jones flashed the man a smile.
