Courtney took a deep breath. "Brianna is very secretive. I didn't know her much before the Red Moon, so it's kind of hard to tell what was odd from what wasn't."
I wasn't all that secretive with Courtney. We have shared almost everything. Of course, the part where Kyle and I were mated was left out. However, Courtney was indeed my best friend.
Josh's sigh echoed down the tunnel. "Courtney, stop pulling me on a rollercoaster ride. Are you going to answer my question or not?"
It took Courtney several minutes to respond. "Two weeks after we started talking, Brianna began getting upset when Summer was around. She tolerated her for another two weeks and then couldn't. It was within that time frame that Brianna's scent petered out. More time than most, she was distant. At the time, Ashley started freaking out and we contacted Sabrina."
