"The funny thing is I kept replaying that night and all the steps I took, and everything was done correctly and at the right time," Scarlet confessed. "Something interfered with the spell, but I don't know what yet."
'What a fun day it will be when she finds out her dearest sister was the interference.'
The others remained silent. None looked at me or Brianna in fear of giving her away.
I sipped my wine. "Or maybe you failed again. It won't be the first time you have."
And, every time she failed at something, she went over the process until she found out why. It was one of the things I used to love about her. She hated failing. Therefore, she took correction and strived for nothing but the best.
"I've done that spell twice before," Scarlet admitted. "Twice and never failed. Yes, you're stronger but I upped the dosage of the ingredients. It was supposed to work."
