{Flashback}

/??? POV/

I was sitting on the grass under the willow tree with my legs crossed alone, again.. I was reading the book that okaasan gave me; The Illusion of Living. I won't be going home anytime soon because onee-san is home, *sigh* everyone else has a friend but me because i'm too 'quiet and boring'...

I hear footsteps walking in my direction so I look up to see my tormentors; Aho Musume, Bukko Ashimi and Ami Smith, the British girl. "Still here, eh Kohai?" Bukko sneered, "It appears so Ashimi-kun" I replied back with no emotion evident on my face. He growled in annoyance, "Girls?" "Yes!" "Hold her down", both girls nodded, yanked me to my feet, and held both of my arms in place.

He threw a quick left hook and it broke my nose almost immediately, "Learn to respect your superiors Kohai" he spat in my face, grabbed me by the neck, threw me to the ground, and proceeded to kick me over and over. I had my arms over my head, eyes shut tight and crying with my knees to my chest. 'I hate being treated like this, why can't I just stand up to myself like all the other kids?' I thought to myself miserably.

KICK!

KICK!

KICK!

KI- *BOOM*

There was an explosion above me that probably knocked Bukko down, "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU ASSHATS!" someone yelled, they stayed in place for two seconds and then scampered away sobbing. I opened both of my eyes and gasped "Shawn?" who knew, the most aggressive boy is standing over me in a protective manner glaring into the distance looking for those assholes. He blinked and looked down at me, I sat up and he extended his hand, offering me to take it to get up, "You ok N/N-?" he asked, I nodded and grasped his hand. He pulled me up and looked at me. "Why do you let them do this to you Y/N"

".....Its because I'm weak. I can't say a simple hello even to those I know well without stuttering" I said sadly. "But you were able to say that sentence without stuttering or stumbling over your words, right?" He replied grinning, which surprised me and made me look up, "You just need a little help and practice with your confidence, that's all" he continued, "Are YOU gonna help me though?" I asked him hesitantly, to which he nodded, "Alright then, when and how do we start?" I asked but this time with more enthusiasm.
