Chapter 51 - Escape

The Town of Hope was in chaos, the townspeople were mainly in the southern and western parts, while in the eastern part and especially the northern part they had suffered a lot at the hands of the bandits, who were already moving towards to the north where they entered the town.

Together with them they carried the corpses of their fallen comrades, while others carried people, money and other valuable artifacts, even so, what mattered most to them was not to leave any of their own, because that way they would avoid let their true identities be known.

"Enough talk old man, it's time for you and that brat to die." - Said the leader of the attackers, who threw the five daggers at Don Armando, who barely managed to block three of them, with one embedding itself in his left thigh and another that grazed his right cheek.

"Oh, you managed to block most of my attacks, you have combat prowess, I admit that." - Said the guy. - "You, collect the bodies of the others, I'll take care of them two."

"" Understood."" - said two of the three subordinates who were the ones who did not carry corpses with them, collecting the corpses of the three dead.

Don Armando looked at Luciel for a second, and said: "Luciel, run, run away from here."

Luciel does not know what to do, he does not want to leave Don Armando alone.

"Ha, don't even worry about running boy, because you'll both die here." - said the leader.

"You too have to escape, please, Don Armando." - Luciel said that, as he did not want to leave Don Armando alone with four bandits, especially one who clearly has the advantage when attacking from afar.

"No, listen to me Luciel, I'll take care of entertaining these bastards, if I try to escape with you, we will both die, don't worry about me and run away."

"I…"

Luciel saw Don Armando.

"Don Armando ..."

"Cute." - Said the leader of the attackers. - "But ... enough talk!" - and threw another two daggers at Don Armando that he managed to repel with his crimson sword.

"Get out!" - shouted Don Armando. - "Escape Now!" - With no other option but to pay attention to Don Armando, besides knowing that he would be a hindrance and a burden for Don Armando if he was still here, Luciel began to run towards the second exit that was at the back of the restaurant.

"I won't allow it!" - Said the leader of the attackers who threw two daggers at Luciel, but Don Armando tried to block them, only managing to deflect one, and the other dagger embedded in Luciel's right arm.

"Ah!" - Luciel fell to the floor in pain.

"You!" - Don Armando shouted as he approached the leader who managed to retreat, but not before being almost reached by the crimson sword, causing his clothes on his chest to be torn, and thus revealing before the eyes of Luciel and Don Armando a tattoo on his chest of the leader of the attackers, a tattoo of a red skull.

"Go dead!" - Shouted the leader who was surprised by almost receiving a wound at the hands of Don Armando.

"Run Luciel! Escape! " - Don Armando shouted again to the young earthling to flee from there.

"Go for the boy!" - The leader angrily ordered his subordinates who released the corpses and went after Luciel.

"Do not even think about it!" - Don Armando shouted, who quickly took a chair, throwing it at one of the attackers, while he quickly approached another, kicking him in the chest while defending himself from a dagger from the leader who threw him directly at his head with his scarcely crimson sword. managing to deflect the attack.

"What are you waiting for Luciel! Flee! Now!"

Luciel, seeing what was happening, and hearing Don Armando again, managed to regain strength, and stopped with difficulty, heading towards the exit again.

"Go dead!" - Shouted the leader of the attackers who threw five daggers towards Luciel.

"No!" - Don Armando interposed again, managing to repel three daggers, but one was embedded again on his right thigh and another on his stomach. - "Ah!" - Don Armando endured the pain and kept stopping the passage of the three subordinates who wanted to go after Luciel.

"I've had enough!" - Said the leader who stopped using his daggers and finally unsheathed his sword with which he managed to cut off Captain Kane's leg. - "I will kill you."

"Yuck!" - Don Armando finally managed to kill one of the subordinates but was surprised to see the leader quickly approach him, trying to drive his sword against his chest, but Don Armando blocked the enemy sword.

Luciel meanwhile continued to flee, while listening to the noises of the battle between Don Armando and the attackers.

One of the bandits manages with his sword to wound Don Armando's left thigh but ends up receiving a strong attack from Don Armando who throws him against one of the walls, falling to the ground in pain.

Luciel, finally manages to successfully reach the exit, opening the door and when he was about to leave the restaurant, he hesitated for a moment, turning to where the battle was happening, and watching Don Armando fight bravely against the leader of the attackers and one of his subordinates.

Luciel does not want to leave, but the immense pain in his body finally manages to make the fear of dying overcome him, which makes Luciel with indignation and anger begin to leave, seeing Don Armando for the last time.

And, as he ran, fleeing from there, with each step he took, he felt even more that he was "abandoning" Don Armando, that he was leaving him to die, and through tears, he let out a cry of helplessness and pain: " AH !! "

He keeps running without stopping, heading south of town ...

In the Crimson, noticing that Luciel finally managed to escape, Don Armando smiles in relief, while at that moment he receives a cut on his sword from one of the subordinates, making him unable to block the next attack of the leader that cuts off his left hand that was holding his sword.

"Ah!" - Don Armando knew it.

"Go dead!"

'Luciel… I'm sorry.' - Don Armando said in his mind, as the leader's sword was heading towards his chest quickly. - 'Juliet, my love… forgive me.'

The leader's sword has finally achieved its goal, and Don Armando falls to the ground.

"Hahaha, who'd say damn it, you're stronger than stupid Kane, I have to admit that." - Said the leader who finally managed to calm his anger a bit. - "And not only that, but the brat really has also been able to escape."

"..." - Don Armando says nothing, barely managing to keep his eyes open.

"Hahaha, I have to admit that you achieved your goal of allowing the brat to escape, but that doesn't matter, you know why?" - The leader took the crimson sword from the ground, watching it closely as he walked to Don Armando's side. - "This will not change anything, because one day I will return, and this time, I will make sure to kill the boy." - and, with the crimson sword of Don Armando, the leader thrust the sword into Don Armando's face, finally killing the old man.

"Pick up the bodies." - Said the leader who took with him his sword and the crimson sword. - "It's time to go."
