Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

It was a normal day which involved the usual effects.

Everyone was running around the house trying to get everything done before leaving.

The clock had already strikes 7am and technically everyone had 20 minutes to eat before climbing into our respective trans port and head to our destination.

My mom and dad owned a surgery where they treated their patients there. However as normal, doctors had to work shifts at the hospital and right now my parents where late.

My sister was fixing her make up as she was a perfectionist.

I on the other end was eating my breakfast and watching everyone run like headless chickens around the house.

It's a good thing that our house is spaciously designed, for if not. I'm pretty sure they would have long collided with each other.

"Ma Ruby, have you packed my lunch into my car?" sister asked the house help.

Ma Ruby has been withus since we where born. She practically raised us as our parents where MIA.

Dont get me wrong, I love my parents a D they have all they can to send us to the best schools and spoil us rotten however you do realize that something is different when other learners have parents routing for then in the crowd and all you have is Ma Ruby or the driver.

"Yes I have Ms Ndlovu" Ma Ruby answered.

"oh Okey, thank you!" Nomathemba answered. She then turned to look at me. " Are you done eating? I'm going to be late you know!" she said a bit flustered.

You see, with having a twin also come the misconceptions that we are the same in personality. Which is incorrect.

I am me and she is she.

Nomathemba is very short tempered and likes for things to go her way. That is one of the reasons that she always drives our car and I always raid short gun.

I could fight her over it but I really don't care.

On our 16th birthday our parents bought us a car to share, they reason behind not individually buyi g us one was that they wanted us to be safe.

I knew this a lie, they basically wanted me keep an eye on Nomathemba.

Nomathemba was a wild card compared to me. She broke all the rules whilst I followed them. My parents where worried so they made me her watch dog.

I do have some bitterness towards that but I've learned to move on from it. I've always felt like the only person who had me in their eyes was Ma Ruby and that was proven when I told my parents I was attending the University of Arts and not med school.

For the first time in my life I had rebelled and did something I wanted.

My parents where livid and I had almost succumbed to their persuasion but one look at Ma Ruby who had congratulated me on being accepted to the a

University. I knew I could not back down down.

So here we are, my sister studies at med school and I study at arts school. I do feel left out sometimes especially when Nomathemba talks about her school and my parents chip in on how it was when they studied.

They never ask me about my studies nor do they show the slightest interest.

It has been like this for two years now and as usual I have come to terms with it
