"How are you gonna change into a bear?"
Arthur that sat next to Indulf in the bushes turned to him, lifted one brow.
"It was a fair question. I'm curious about your life and your existence. Just too occupied with… things…" In his eyes, a pang of guilt flashed. It wasn't an unexplainable excuse. To be blunt, it was a shitty one.
"You have never cared before. What makes you now?" A suspicious glare was spared at Indulf.
"I try…" His eyes moved around, thinking for some pardon to excuse his cowardly behavior. "... we were young. Not knowing better."
"You know it's not an excuse… right?" Arthur tilted his head, openly judging.
Indulf moved his head, tried to retort. His head swang left to right finding a right excuse.
"At least sister Elizebeth has a massive ball." Arthur turned his head away, a silent signal that it was a done deal. No more pit talk.
